Jason Bourne takes on a mission to rescue his only friend in the CIA, Martin Lindros, who disappeared in Africa while tracking shipments of yellowcake uranium. Once safely back in America, Lindros persuades Bourne to help track the money trail of terrorists buying the nuclear material in Odessa. But once there, Bourne is hampered by confusing flashbacks, and he wonders: is someone brainwashing him in order to throw him off the trail? Worse, is the man he saved in Africa really Martin Lindros?

  • The Murder of King Tut: The Plot to Kill the Child King

    • UNABRIDGED (5 hrs and 59 mins)

In The Murder of Tut, James Patterson and Martin Dugard chronicle their epic quest to find out what happened to the boy-king. They comb through the evidence--X-rays, Carter's files, forensic clues--and scavenge for overlooked data to piece together the details of his life and death. The result is a true crime tale of intrigue, betrayal, and usurpation that presents a compelling case that King Tut's death was anything but natural.

Kelly says: "Painful to listen to!"
"The Worst, an Absolute Insult to the Listener"
    Overall

Patterson now joins the growing list of authors who find that they can rest on whatever laurels they may have had and can author and get published a book that would be bad if a fifth grader had written it. This book badly plagiarizes a book called "The Egyptian" (available on Audible). This book is an insult. It is so poorly researched and poorly narrated with "hip-hop" expressions not really in vogue 13 centuries before the birth of Christ. I would not buy this book at any price and if I was being paid, would refuse to listen to it.

The Brain: A Very Short Introduction provides a non-technical introduction to the main issues and findings in current brain research, and gives a sense of how neuroscience addresses questions about the relationship between the brain and the mind. It includes chapters on brain processes, perception, memory, motor control and the causes of "altered mental states".

This is not a tongue in cheek review. I'm not kidding,I've taken all sorts of pills to help my insomnia.Listening to this book works better. When I get into bed I just turn this on and I'm asleep in 10 minutes. It is like being in a class you hate and all of a sudden you are asleep.I've stopped taking pills.I will never erase this from my library.

Philip Roth is the most decorated American writer of his generation. In Exit Ghost, this master author crafts what may be the final chapter in the story of his beloved hero Nathan Zuckerman. After 11 years of isolation in his New England mountain refuge, Zuckerman returns to New York City and makes three important connections that threaten his carefully protected sense of isolation.

    J. Kovler says: "Vintage Roth - powerful"
    "Boring, Liberal Diatribe"
    Overall

Listening to this book is akin to root canal at the dentist,it is a Bush bashing, hate Republican values book, and should be advertised as a political novel. It is dull, boring and morose.Stay away from it at any price.

Tom Fletcher has left the police force, and its cold outside. Working as a P.I. in Cambridge, he is dragged back into his own troubled family history by an enigmatic message from his missing father. Tom's inquiries begin to spiral into very darker conspiracies. How is an American company involved in an officially-suppressed story from World War II? Where is the US Air Force base that seems to be the key to a centuries-old mystery?

If you suffer from insomnia this book is for you. it is boring, too long, the characters are many and insignificant to the plot.the readers monotone adds to he sleep value. For $60 one would think a book should be very good .This one is not .the plot goes from medieval time to modern without letting the listner know where the author is.I would recommend you do not waste your money or a credit on this one. This is a really bad book.

The Republicans are coming to St. Paul for their convention. Throwing a big party is supposed to be fun, but crashing the party are a few hard cases the police would rather have stayed away. Chief among them is a crew of professional stick-up men who've spotted several lucrative opportunities, ranging from political moneymen with briefcases full of cash to that armored-car warehouse with the weakness in its security system.

Tony B. says: "Another winner for Davenport fans"
    "Another "Ho Hum" Standford book"
    Overall

If you have read one Standford book, you have read them all. This writer is among those writers which are "commerical" writers, same characters almost the same plot in all his Prey books.and is a genius in putting 'filler' in his books.she was eating a cheese sandwich, he was putting in to a cup, nothing to do with the plot, nothing to do with the characters.only makes the book longer. This book is full of the 'F' word, which gives it no help.Even at $9.95 this should be a pass.I would no waste any money on Standford books. He needs to get some new characters and a realy new plot.

It should have been a case like any other: a missing princess, a king willing to pay in gold for her return. But before he realizes it, private investigator Eddie LaCrosse, a slightly shopworn sword jockey with a talent for discretion and detection, is swept up in a web of mystery and deceit involving a brutally murdered royal heir, a queen accused of an unspeakable crime, and the tragic past he thought he'd left behind.

Katherine says: "Refreshing fantasy noir, my favorite reader"
"PROBABLY, THE WORST BOOK EVER WRITTEN"
    Overall

TO SAY THAT THIS BOOK IS BAD, OR AWFUL,DOES NOT,DO JUSTICE TO THOSE WORDS.THE PLOT IF YOU CALL IT THAT,IS A PRIVATE EYE, IN A MYTHICAL WORLD,WITH GODESSES,SEEKING THE KILLER OF THE SON OF THE KING ,EVEN THE SPRINKLING OF SEX AND THE "4" LETTER WORD DOES NOT HELP.WHILE I KNOW THIS AUTHOR IS NEW, HE HAD BETTER KEEP HIS DAY JOB.DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK.I TRIED THREE TIMES TO LISTEN TO IT AND JUST GAVE UP.IT IS AN EMBARASSMENT AND A INSULT TO THE LISTENER, IT HAS NO REDEEMING QUALITIES AND I WOULD HAVE GIVEN A ZERO IF I COULD.

A firefight reverberates through Moscow's dark, rain-soaked streets; shattered glass and screams echo in the air. In the lawless ways of Russia's capital city, the gunmen melt away into the night. Two men are dead, the targets not what they seem. A shadowy figure lopes along the riverbank outside the Kremlin walls. Known to all as Volk, a battle-hardened veteran of Russia's brutal war in Chechnya, he prowls Moscow┬┐s grim alleyways, a knife concealed in his prosthetic foot at all times.

This is a dark, grim, novel unaided by a usually good reader. His reading of this book, makes the book even worse. If you are looking for a depressive book, this is for you.I have not finished it yet, with three trys.I intend to erase it and try to forget it's morbid plot.Pass this one by.
