Judith Hampton was as beautiful as she was proud and loyal. Her dear Scottish friend from childhood was about to give birth, and Judith had promised to be at her side. But there was another reason for the journey from her bleak English home to the Highlands: to meet the father she had never known, the Laird Maclean. Nothing prepared her, however, for the sight of the Scottish barbarian who was to escort her into his land...Iain Maitland, laird of his clan, a man more powerfully compelling than any she had ever encountered.

I had never listened or read anything from Julie before, but I am so happy I did! The narration is absolutely priceless. You can't believe how Susan can fluctuate from man to woman, from English to Scott - she is a master.

The story line kept me on the edge of every word, and the characters are wonderfully defined. This was a true pleasure to listen to and I think I am now hooked on Julie!

Stephanie, who works as an assistant at Lockwood Industries in Minneapolis, is temporarily assigned to the boss - Jonas Lockwood himself. I had discovered this book as a recommendation for a Robyn Carr alternative, but the narrator sounded like she was recording a sex show rather than reading a chick lit book. Her voice the entire time, regardless of character was just whispery, husky, and overly sensual for no apparent reason. It was distracting.

The storyline was marginal, and there was too much chit chat, and overly "drawn" characters.

Disappointing listen. I found myself drifting off several times and losing focus.

    Breaking rules and breaking hearts.

Free-spirited Chloe lives life on the edge. Unlike her soon-to-be married sisters, she isn't ready to settle into a quiet life running their family's newly renovated inn. But soon her love of trouble - and trouble with love - draws the attention of the very stern, very sexy sheriff who'd like nothing better than to tame her wild ways.

I don't know what is better, the amazing Gabra Zackman narrating in her signature "Sophie Katz" voices, seamlessly transferring from character to character without missing a beat...or the whitty dialogue of both the primary story, and the chapter beginning quotes.

This book made me laugh out loud many times and it was a quick, fun listen that kept you guessing on who the villians were all throughout.

Definately recommend! Listen to them all if you haven't already, this one was worth the wait!

Back in their college days, Gretchen Wise had been engaged to a top law student. Carol Furness, head cheerleader, had said yes to the school’s football hero. And Maddie Cobain was the girl who’d fallen for a professor. Now the three of them gather around a popular fountain on the college grounds. This fountain was where lovers met, where promises were made...and broken. So it’s fitting that Gretchen, Carol and Maddie sit here to share their stories of betrayal and, yes, revenge.
