The biblical foundation for the best-selling Left Behind series, Revelation Unveiled is an accessible commentary on the Book of Revelation. It will help you better understand the mysterious, final book of the Bible and its implications.

While I learned alot about the Book of Revelations, I was not prepared for the numerous references to other passages in the Bible one would have to refer to. Referencing the other passages is a must to understand Mr. LaHaye points of view.

  • The Great Influenza: The Epic Story of the Deadliest Plague in History

    Story

No disease the world has ever known even remotely resembles the great influenza epidemic of 1918. Presumed to have begun when sick farm animals infected soldiers in Kansas, spreading and mutating into a lethal strain as troops carried it to Europe, it exploded across the world with unequaled ferocity and speed. It killed more people in 20 weeks than AIDS has killed in 20 years; it killed more people in a year than the plagues of the Middle Ages killed in a century.

John Barry said that it wasn't his intention to frighten, only enlighten. And as I reflect back on this book it reminds me how lucky I really am, that both of grandparents were lucky.

Part poetic masterpiece, part mystic treatise, The Dark Night of the Soul by 16th century Carmelite monk St. John of the Cross, addresses the feeling of being forgotten by the Presence of the Almighty that every Christian desirous of walking more closely with God must pass through in order to learn to walk by faith and not by sight.

Sorry, I just cannot find anything worthwhile to say about this book. I think possibly St. John spent way to much time in the dungeon by himself.

Mere Christianity is C.S. Lewis' forceful and accessible doctrine of Christian belief. First heard as informal radio broadcasts and then published as three separate books, The Case for Christianity, Christian Behavior, and Beyond Personality, Mere Christianity brings together what Lewis sees as the fundamental truths of the religion.
