"A Classic, Well Read"
The voice and style of the narrator perfectly matched the story.
It kept my interest very very well. I sat in my car several times waiting to hear the next few lines...couldn't break myself away.
His accent is perfect, his inflections and charecterizations were spot on--never distracting from the story.
"Wonderful story, excellent narration"
The characters in this story were very real. The writing was excellent and the naration brought the story to life. The device of the character telling the story, as written, was a little odd. But, it never distracted from the story and turned out to be a mechanism for some good messages.
"Twisty Turney Extra Clever!"
Loved the dual narrators. Particularly fabulous for this story.
The ending was NOT what I expected. I will definitely listen to this author again!
"Fabulous, now I know what all the hoopla was about"
among the best ever.
other JRR Tolkien, of course.
perfect as usual--I love listening to him!
several times I both laughed out loud and cried. Engaging drama!!!
"Interesting"
I liked how the author pulled information and research from various areas to synthesis his premise.
Not all in one sitting, but I did have a couple of driveway moments, where I sat in the driveway waiting to hear the end of the chapter.
"fun for a quick listen"
I would say it was a nice little diversion.
a little hard to believe all that...
"Fabulous!!!"
the story, the voice and style of the narrator
the relationships that developed between the charecters. I can see people I know, and myself in each of them.
I loved his English accent, like having my English grandfather read to me.
"haven't lost my keys since I started this!"
I have, to my son. He learned his cluttering habits from me.
Not really a story, but I liked hearing permission to rid my home of unuseful shtuff just because it once belonged to someone I loved.
"Junk Food for the ears"
it was a light story, nothing too hard to think about
An okay diversion, but not my typical genre.
"Long listen, but very very good."
yes, I would listen again in several months. There are a lot of charecters in the book, it would be nice to visit them again.
when Wolfrick realized that Gweneth was a good mate for him.
The last scene was my favorite...but man, it took a long time to get there!
When that dang Ralph finally met justice...it took a long time to get there, too.
"Fun little mystery"
Yes, I would listen to other books by either of these women. I enjoyed the story and the narration.
Probably, but I'm not gushing about it. It was a short listen.
