Born poor and hydrocephalic, Arnold Spirit survives brain surgery. But his enormous skull, lopsided eyes, profound stuttering, and frequent seizures target him for abuse on his Indian reservation. Protected by a formidable friend, the book-loving artist survives childhood. And then - convinced his future lies off the rez - the bright 14-year-old enrolls in an all-white high school 22 miles away.

    "Wonderful Book, Perfect Narration"
    Overall

I just loved this book. Funny, sad, charming. I listened to it on audiobook and while sometimes the narrators are eh, I think this book was really even better for listening. It was read by the author and he was perfect. Love it.

After a summer spent trying to prevent a catastrophic war among the Greek gods, Percy Jackson finds his seventh-grade school year unnervingly quiet. His biggest problem is dealing with his new friend, Tyson, a six-foot-three, mentally challenged homeless kid who follows Percy everywhere, making it hard for Percy to have any "normal" friends.

    "Narration Killed It"
    Overall

I have tried and tried to keep listening to this audiobook but the narrator is just so awful that I can't even finish it. I have never had such a problem that I couldn't get used to it, but this one was horrible. Waste of credits for me, I'll buy and read it.
