It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

definitely...especially if they are new to audiobooks.
it will draw them into a great alternative to reading!

What other book might you compare Gone Girl to and why?

It reminded me listening to Jodi Piccoult the way it switched to the two main characters perspectives with two wonderful readers.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Anything I could report would be a spoiler as the story wove the twists and turns of the plot with such precistion.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Compulsive listening

    Any additional comments?

    The readers were surperb!
Conained more psychological depth than others of this genre.

Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. "Jess and Jason," she calls them. Their life—as she sees it—is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost. And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough. Now everything’s changed. Unable to keep it to herself, Rachel offers what she knows to the police, and becomes inextricably entwined in what happens next, as well as in the lives of everyone involved. Has she done more harm than good? Compulsively readable, The Girl on the Train is an emotionally immersive, Hitchcockian thriller and an electrifying debut.

I haven't touched another person in three years. That seems like it would be a difficult task, but it's not. Not anymore, thanks to the internet. My anonymous clients spend thousands of dollars to watch me take my clothes off for the camera. What they want, I give. Their secrets, I keep. Everything I tell them is a lie. Open the door to this year's most shocking thriller.

What did you love best about The Girl in 6E?

Character development. At first I considered
not to continue because I did not feel sympathetic
towards the protagonist. By the end of the book
    I loved her!

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Girl in 6E?

All of it! I don't want to include any spoilers

What does Jorjeana Marie bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She was great and a big part of the success of this for me.
Loved the tone of her voice!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The most extreme reaction was the sadness that it was ending!

    Any additional comments?

Several books state "if you liked Gone Girl...."
LIstened to one that didn't come close.
    This book delivers!
