Step by Step to Stand-Up Comedy, written by Greg Dean, is a comprehensive guide for people who are funny, want to be funnier, or have dreams of being a stand-up comedian. This first-of-its-kind audiobook demystifies the craft of comedy by breaking it down to the fundamental skills used by professional funny people. Dean lays out these skills in simple-to-understand lessons that are easy to practice and master.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. Anyone interested in stand up comedy should own this. I have read multiple books on comedy, and this one is unique in it's utility. Mr. Dean will teach you what a joke really is, why people find things funny, and how to write material based on these facts. He goes on to provide direction on crafting routines, rehearsing, and performing. My only criticism is it can get pretty confusing and dry at times, but so are most "how to" books. This is excellent material and a must have for the craft.

    Any additional comments?

I saw reviews saying this book is "not funny". Of course it isn't funny! This isn't a joke book!

The Craig Beck stop drinking method is unique: No need to declare yourself an alcoholic. It's a permanent cure, not a lifetime struggle. There are no group meetings or expensive visits to rehab. No humiliation, no pain, and 100% no will power required. His method treats the source of the problem, not the symptoms.

Regina says: "What an eye opener. This changed my life."
"This is almost identical to the Allen Carr method"

Where does Alcohol Lied to Me rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    Great, worth the investment

What other book might you compare Alcohol Lied to Me to and why?

Allen Carr's "Easy way to stop drinking". It is the exact same message, and I know Craig Beck read this book. Some the material is repeated verbatim.

This is not a criticism. Allen Carr's book is outstanding, but it is not available in audio. If you like Allen Carr, get this book for the audio version of the message.

    Any additional comments?

Don't wait - get listen to this book and you can get on to a great life free of alcohol.
