It was one of Eve Dallas’s earliest takedowns, back in her uniform days. A monster named Isaac McQueen had been abducting young victims and leaving them scarred in both mind and body. Thanks to Eve, he wound up where he belonged, removed from civilized society in Rikers. But he’s not behind bars anymore. After his escape, McQueen has two things in mind. One is to take up where he left off, preying on the young and innocent - when necessary, with the help of a female partner all too willing to be manipulated and to aid and abet his crimes.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

This is a chick book detective story that most guys probably won???t like. The underlying story is good but the author gets bogged down in too much of the ???feelings??? stuff relating to Dallas??? personal issues. Whole chapters are spent on issues that should have been covered in a few pages. If you are looking for a fast paced read this is definitely not it.

Has New York to Dallas turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, but this author is off my list

How could the performance have been better?

    Male reader

Could you see New York to Dallas being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

    NO!

    Any additional comments?

    Boring.

One of only sixteen unembedded American journalists who stayed in Baghdad's now-legendary Palestine Hotel throughout the American invasion of Iraq, NPR's Anne Garrels was at the very center of the storm. She brings us the sights, sounds, and smells of our latest war with unparalleled vividness and immediacy.

    "Bag the Brenda Bulletins"
    Overall

A good audio book, with the exception of the irritating, terrible monotone “Brenda Bulletins” by “V”. The material in these pieces could have easily been incorporated into the author’s story, thereby eliminating what was a needless distraction to an otherwise good listen; and where did “V” get his voice training for heaven’s sake?

In a frantic journey across Europe and into the lawless, battered landscapes of Moscow and southern Russia, Tim Cranmer searches for his brilliant protégé while desperately eluding his former colleagues, in order to save whatever of his life he has left.

This audio book is truly awful. I finally gave up on it after three hours of enduring the boring excruciatingly slow text and the terrible over affected British accent of the narrator. Don't waste your time or money on dog.
