James Stark, a.k.a. Sandman Slim, crawled out of Hell, took bloody revenge for his girlfriend’s murder, and saved the world along the way. After that, what do you do for an encore? You take a lousy job tracking down monsters for money. It’s a depressing gig, but it pays for your beer and cigarettes. But in L.A., things can always get worse. Like when Lucifer comes to town to supervise his movie biography and drafts Stark as his bodyguard.

It would have been nice to hear the later stories. Like the stuff with the feral animals. That and T. Sean Collins. His last interview was great.

    The narration was great.

  • God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything

In the tradition of Bertrand Russell's Why I Am Not a Christian and Sam Harris' recent best-seller, The End of Faith, Christopher Hitchens makes the ultimate case against religion. With a close and erudite reading of the major religious texts, he documents the ways in which religion is a man-made wish, a cause of dangerous sexual repression, and a distortion of our origins in the cosmos.

If you could sum up God Is Not Great in three words, what would they be?

I listen to it every night when I go to bed.

Who was your favorite character and why?

It's non fiction. So the author.

What does Christopher Hitchens bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    He says it perfectly.

    Any additional comments?

I am an atheist but if the Vogons are real and decide to demolish the earth and I have no way of getting to zaphod or Ford Prefect, my last act on this planet before I die will be to convert to Asatru.
