Same old Jacky always getting into new troubles and adventures. I enjoy all the exotic locales and people.

This has been a great series. I would always get another book from L. A. Meyer, but I think you can only drag out unresolved issues for so long before they become cumbersome. It's about time for Jacky to give up on Jaimy or commit to him. It has now dragged on for nine books. Characters need to evolve over time and I think Jacky has become a little stagnant.

I enjoyed Ravi and all his laments about what he was going to come back as in the next life.

I think the scene where Davy is chastising Jacky for her behavior when they should be trying to help Jaimy. She initially becomes defensive and declares nobody is going to tell her how to live her life. That is spot on for her character, but I beleive the criticism may have hit home a little and given her something to think on.

To sum up I love the series but feel it's time for Jacky to do a little growing up and make some hard decisions about her life. To string Jaimy along for nine books is getting a little tiresome and what once was charming about her character now seems callous.

I enjoy this series. The world and characters are fun, full of action and it makes for entertaining, light listening.

In comparison to the other books in the series this was the first one to not feature Kate Daniels as the main character. I guess because it is listed under the "Kate Daniels" series I was expecting something different. It threw me off in the beginning, but I quickly figured it out and got over my initial disappointment.

I don't think this is an extreme reaction kind of book. It's fun, full of action and romance, but not overly emotional. This isn't The Notebook. It's more like the Terminator.

I would recommend this series to just about anyone. If it were a series of movies it would be perfect to watch with your girlfriend. Enough of a chick flick to keep her happy, and enough action and killing for any guy to be able to admit he liked it.

I thought the performance of this book was done very well. The characters really came to life. The problem I had was with the story. It started very slowly, took a long time to get to the point, and the point was obvious and depressing.

No. I'll still remain a mystery fan. Many books in this genre are quite entertaining.

I mostly listen to audiobooks while I'm doing other activities, not necessarily for the narrator's perspective. However, I thought this book was well done and the narrators gave me a good feel for the characters.

This book could have a follow up as the conclusion was left open ended. The conclusion was part of the reason I didn't like this book. Other people who enjoyed this read would probably like to see the story developed further. I'll pass.

I believe listening to any book is time well spent since it's usually during a commute and I have nothing else to be doing. Overall though, I am disappointed with who Rachel has become. You expect growth from a character. Rachel has become less competent as the series goes on and the stupid decisions seem contrived to add something to the story, but really they just serve to frustrate the listener.

Just started the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson.

Always love Jenks. I think Marguerite Gavin does a wonderful job.

Still angry about 2 credits for this book and I think if the publisher continues to be overly greedy It may just be what pushes me to move on. You get hooked on a series and everyone wants to see what happens next, so the publishers have taken advantage of that to charge double for a book that is in no way deserving of the extra money.

I didn't read the Honor Harrington series before listening to them. Perhaps because I had no preconceptions I'm not bothered by the narrator's reading. I think she does fine. I'm not sure why people need a list of the order of the books when Audible tells you which book number it is in the title. That being said this series has great characters, well explained technology and interesting story lines. I'm looking forward to listening to the rest of the books.

Loved the story. It is edge of your seat suspense with some history, action and romance thrown in as well. It is worh a listen if you can get past the production. One critic wrote " Fans of old-time radio drama will particularly enjoy this full cast version." Well, if you like listening to people talk like they are using tin cans on a string in accents that would make even a grade school drama teacher cringe then you will be a fan of this listen. I have always wondered why audiobooks don't use a full cast to add drama to a production and I have hope that someone will do it well someday. This one made a great story almost unbearable.

I loved this book. Of course it was a little slow at first, but that's to be expected when background information is being given at the beginning of any long novel. The characters are well developed and you care about what happens with them. I got a little tired of the jumps back and forth in time, but that was only minor. The glaring flaw was in the narration. Michael Kramer and Kate Reading do a great job and unlike other reviews I have no problem with their style. Toward the very end of the book though the pronunciation of Sadius was changed by Kate Reading to the point where I was asking myself if a new character had been introduced somewhere that I missed. I soon figured out who she was talking about, but it's one of those little things that grate on the nerves every time you hear it. It doesn't seem too much to expect that pronunciation of names be consistent throughout an entire series let alone a single book. The producers should be embarrassed to put out a final product with such an amateur flaw. Audio books should be edited as properly as written books.

I have been a huge fan of the series up to this point, but this book was lacking the flow of the previous ones. I started it, became bored and switched to another book. I came back to it and it did pick up the pace reasonably well. I agree with some other reviews that it seemed as though the plot lines that were resolved were done so briskly and more time was spent on descriptions of irrelevant topics. I love the narration of Davina Porter. I actually checked my iPod when the story ended thinking it had glitched and skipped to the end. Unfortunately, it really was the end and I was left wondering why all that drawn out plot development but no resolution?

The historical background in this book was interesting, but it's not what you're looking for in a spy novel. The only suspense in this book was waiting for some plot to develop. I kept waiting for a point to be made, but it never materialized.

This book was formulaic, predictable and I think Dan Brown sold out on the ending. Perhaps he was tired of getting criticized by the religious crowd over The Da Vinci Code. I was disappointed. The whole book built up to the expectation of an exciting revelation and then fizzled. It left me thinking "I can't believe I waited for that."
