What would you do if you lost everything - your job, your home, and the love of your life - all at the same time? When it happens to Seattle ad executive Alan Christoffersen, he's tempted by his darkest thoughts. A bottle of pills in his hand and nothing left to live for, he plans to end his misery. Instead, he decides to take a walk. But not any ordinary walk. Taking with him only the barest of essentials, Al leaves behind all that he's known and heads for the farthest point on his map.

Would you listen to The Walk again? Why?

Yes, I would listen to this book again and actually, bought and am listening to book 2 in the series of 3. It is equally delightful as the story continues.

What did you like best about this story?

The main character is very likable even though the plot is sometimes a little unbelievable. It is one of those stories that compels the reader to keep reading to find out what happens next!

What about Richard Paul Evans???s performance did you like?

He doesn't use fake or goofy voices that interfere with listening because they are obnoxious.

If you could take any character from The Walk out to dinner, who would it be and why?

The main character as I would want to offer him some suggestions for making his life a little easier.

    Any additional comments?

I love this author and read everything he writes. His books make me feel uplifted.

Police chief Jesse Stone has received his share of unusual calls, but none can top the one from the local junior high school. When reports of lewd conduct by the school's principal, Betsy Ingersoll, filter into the station, Jesse is faced with a particularly delicate situation. Jesse, of course, would like nothing more than to see the prim, peculiar Ingersoll punished. But Betsy Ingersoll is married to the managing partner of the biggest law firm in the state, and Jay Ingersoll wants the matter buried.

    Overall

I have read many books by this author but this is the first one I have listened to and I had to stop because I couldn't stand hearing, "He said," "She said". My goodness, couldn't the reader have improvised a bit! It was soooo distracting, I had to stop listening to the book so that was wasted money for me.
