J.J. Tully is a former search-and rescue dog who is trying to enjoy his retirement after years of performing daring missions saving lives. So he's not terribly impressed when two chicks named Dirt and Sugar (who look like popcorn on legs) and their chicken mom show up demanding his help to track down their missing siblings. But driven by the promise of a cheeseburger, J.J. begins to track down clues.

What made the experience of listening to The Trouble with Chickens the most enjoyable?

My Daughter had to read this book for a project at school called Reading Games. It was fun filled book. Kept her attention and is fast paced. Recommended for kids in 3rd though 5th grade. :)

This best-selling thriller has captivated over 4.5 million readers of all ages; V.C. Andrews’ fans know her mixture of vivid characters and ominous moods is highly addictive. Flowers in the Attic is the first book in a gripping series featuring the Dollangagers - a family haunted by a remorseless, demonic history. This tale of obsession, also made into a haunting movie, has made V.C. Andrews’ name synonymous with the best in dark suspense.

If you could sum up Flowers in the Attic in three words, what would they be?

I read this book over twenty years ago. When I saw that Lifetime is having a movie following this book in January I thought I better read it again. So i chose to get it on Audio and listen to it. Keep in mind this book was written in the seventies. It was a nice change after reading The Hunger Games, Divergent, Shatter Me etc. It takes me back to the ground of writting! This story line is quiet the story for the seventies and must have turned some heads and reviews back in the day. I enjoyed it even more the second time around. I couldn't believe how much of it I have forgotten. Recommended book.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I wouldn't say the plot keeps you on the edge of you seat, but you are drawn to want to keep going in the aspect that you want to know what happens to these kids and you are overwhelmed wondering how the adults could do the things they have done. It's a page turner!
