Beside this book, I have listened to the "Spanish for the busy traveler) and I'm listening now to the "Coffee break Spanish" which is a radio podcast dedicated to learning many languages, Spanish included. I found that Noble's approach is both effective as well as easy to grasp. a strong point in this audio is that it teaches you both Spain Spanish and Latin Spanish without compromising your time or understanding of the main concepts of the language. by the time i finished the course (4 parts), I developed the ability to have various communications in Spanish as well as hundreds of vocabulary words. You wont be fluent merely by listening to this audio, but it will give a great start do be.
This book inspired me to start learning a third language. Michael Erard take you in an amusing journey to the history of language learning processes and the most famous polyglots.
In genera, this book is a good reference for those traveling to a Spanish speaking countries. Also for those studying Spanish may found it useful. Still there were three things that I didn't like about this audio:
1- The narrator's voice was loud and kind of sharp.
2- It focuses on Latin Spanish without any mentioning of Spain Spanish.
3- Some times, it waste the time by associating some vocabulary words with an English words or some other thins, which I found unnecessary.
Overall, I cant say I didn't benefited from spending money and time on this audio, as a mater of fact I highly recommend listening to as much as you can on these audios in order to enhance your Spanish.
The performance is amazing. The way the narrator change his voice to imitate the foreign language is so professional
Compared to other “seek yourself” books, this one is considered one of the best. Linking the ideas of the author with a story makes it very enjoyable journey.
I didn't encounter a complete change after reading the book, but it really helped me with reviewing some aspect of my current “material” life.
worth the cost
Just what you need to hear again and again. If you find it difficult to keep an optimistic, enthusiastic, and positive attitude, this is what you need to get. The author keeps you impressed with new approaches and technics that you can utilize during both happy and unhappy events. You’ll never regret buying such a master piece.
Other than few immaterial, known information, the book offers nothing. from the beginning to the end, the author talks either about how great financial planner he is or about his products, as if you’re watching a commercial ad. Not worth reading.
One of the good things about this book is the real-life experience of the writer. No theiories, no (BIG) ideas, no suffistication. A plain language with frank and direct opinions, in addition to the fun way of the writer.
good book, bad sound
It is the father of all self-improvement ideas. A holistic approach to all kind of success in life. You will never regret spending the 24 hours that is needed to finish the book. And more than that, it would be hard not to repeat the experience and have a second listen to the whole thing.
This book is the ideal listen for those who are struggling to seek the bright side of any situation they face. It's highly motivating, so convincing, and very well written. A valuable addition to your library.
