True urgency is a gut-level determination to move and win, now. Its practitioners are unusually alert. They come to work each day determined to achieve something important, and they shed irrelevant activities to move faster and smarter. Kotter reveals a distinctive view of the kind of urgency needed in every organization. He also highlights the insidious nature of its nemesis, complacency, in all its guises.

    "Rather boring"
    Overall

found this book rather boring and not very much value adding. Waste of time to be honest. Kotter's written much better books then this one.

You've just been promoted to a new leadership position. You're not yet sure of the challenges ahead or how you will meet them. All you know is that you have three months to get on top of the job and move forward, or fail.

Would you recommend The First 90 Days to your friends? Why or why not?

I would recommend this book to unexperienced young managers. It does not have so much to offer for more experienced managers in my opinion.

What three words best describe Kevin T. Norris’s performance?

good narration, allthough sometimes getting a little dull.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    no

Discover magazine recently called Richard Dawkins "Darwin's Rottweiler" for his fierce and effective defense of evolution. Prospect magazine voted him among the top three public intellectuals in the world (along with Umberto Eco and Noam Chomsky). Now Dawkins turns his considerable intellect on religion, denouncing its faulty logic and the suffering it causes.

Where does The God Delusion rank among all the audiobooks you???ve listened to so far?

this book is written as an audiobook (the paper version came later) and is therefor very listenable. Enjoyed it a lot

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

I enjoyed the thinking behind the book, the theory the authors lay out to the listeners. Allthough in my opinion Dawkins gets sometimes carried away, his ideas are very interesting and worth thinking through

What about Richard Dawkins and Lalla Ward ???s performance did you like?

    great performance

This practical audiobook encourages listeners to become stronger team players through the straight-forward presentation of the three great needs teams meet, the four great barriers to teamwork, and the five great traits of effective teams.

I bought this audiobook because of the interesting title, but found it a waste of time. Nothing but cliches, downright boring, lack of depth and lack of links to practical situations.
