Amber is the one real world, of which all others including our own Earth are but Shadows. Amber burns in Corwin's blood. Exiled on Shadow Earth for centuries, the prince is about to return to Amber to make a mad and desperate rush upon the throne.

If you could sum up Nine Princes in Amber in three words, what would they be?

    treachery
    mystical
    exciting

What did you like best about this story?

The though of manipulating "shadows" is a great story idea

What does Alessandro Juliani bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His meter and delivery with his own voices makes this book come to life with an edge I had not realized when I read the series 30+ years ago.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Walk the pattern

    Any additional comments?

Listening made this book new again. Thank you!

Richard Mayhew is an unassuming young businessman living in London, with a dull job and a pretty but shrewish fiancée. Then one night he stumbles upon a girl lying on the sidewalk, bleeding. He stops to help her, and his life is changed forever. Soon he finds himself living in a London most people would never have dreamed of: a city of monsters and saints, murderers and angels. It is a world that exists entirely in a subterranean labyrinth of sewer canals and abandoned subway stations.

    Story
Where does Neverwhere rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    First one I've listened to.

What did you like best about this story?

I was taken into the world the author created.

Have you listened to any of Neil Gaiman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    No

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

As the Under London world unfolded, I was taken away. When I realized our hero was trapped, I felt trapped as well.

    Any additional comments?

The feel of the alternate London has that of "Diagon Alley" from another popular series, but this book was written BEFORE that series. Sort of makes you wonder who may have copied whom...
