Hidden deep beneath Manhattan lies a warren of tunnels, sewers, and galleries, mostly forgotten by those who walk the streets above. There lies the ultimate secret of the Museum Beast. When two grotesquely deformed skeletons are found deep in the mud off the Manhattan shoreline, museum curator Margo Green is called in to aid the investigation.

Jim says: "An unsurpassed thrill ride"
"Should have made this one into a movie..."

I really enjoyed "The Relic" but "Reliquary" was much better on so many levels. The writing is smart and scientific but I never felt lost. There is much more action in this novel than the Relic and the suspense is much higher. One of the better novels I've listened to

City of Fallen Angels take up where City of Glass left off. With Valentine out of the way, Clary thought she and Jace could finally be together--but when someone starts murdering the Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine's Circle and leaving their bodies around New York City in a manner designed to destroy the new peace between Downworlders and Shadowhunters, she realizes the past can never be left entirely behind.

Would you listen to City of Fallen Angels again? Why?

I would listen to the book again if I was going through the series again. I wouldn't just listen to the book stand alone.

What did you like best about this story?

The story had a good enough final act that it truly saved this from being a disaster. The character development has been good and they have primarily continued to grow.

What three words best describe Ed Westwick and Molly C. Quinn ’s performance?

Find Someone Else!!!! - It's not that they did a bad job but I feel like they didn't listen to the previous books. You can't just change characters "voices" 4 books into the series. At least try to keep the same tone for the characters. And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE find a way to keep the names of things pronounced the same through the ALL the books. Not the first time that a name, place, or thing was pronounced one way in book one and another in the next... the word Editor comes to mind.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

2/3 into the book I was wondering why I was still listening. Normally I'm disappointed to arrive at my destination but this book didn't quite have the same effect until the end.

    Any additional comments?

If you're listening to this one... don't give up, the ending makes the book worth it.
p.s. - my wife and I share this account - this is really Aaron.

When 15-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder - much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing, not even a smear of blood, to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

Teddy says: "2 Stars because it actually gets worse...."

Where does City of Bones rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I would say this is probably one of my favorite YA books next to the Harry Potter series.

What did you like best about this story?

Though some of the plot items seemed a little predictable, the story had some great twists to really keep the story interesting. The characters were well developed and had some great flaws that kept them real.

What does Ari Graynor bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Ari did a great job reading. It was easy to listen to her and keep my attention. Narration is so important as I listen to all my book in the car. If the narration isn't good, I'll suddenly find myself 30 minutes down the road and realize I have no idea what was happening.

    Any additional comments?

Definitely a must read. One of the best YA series out there.

Jason Bourne needs to regain his life as David Webb, so he accepts an invitation from his beloved mentor, Dominic Specter, to join the Linguistics department at Georgetown. It's a relief to leave the Bourne identity behind, but Jason soon finds himself in a life-or-death confrontation in which every move might be his last.

    Regan says: "He's no Ludlum!"
    "What was the plot again?"

OMG - are you kidding me? The first of the new trilogy - Amazing. The 2nd - so so. Does this guy write screen plays because the 3rd book in the series - BLOWS! I had no idea what the real plot of the book was. All in all I think the story was too big for the author.
