Precious Ramotswe's comfortable existence as the only detective in Botswana is suddenly rattled when the Satisfaction Guaranteed Detective Agency opens, and its brochure proclaims, "Don't take any chances! Entrust your enquiries to a MAN!" As if the development isn't enough, Mma Ramotswe has also taken on two difficult cases, one of which hits close to home. But with wisdom on her side, Mma Ramotswe figures to crack both cases and upstage her competition.

What did you love best about The Kalahari Typing School for Men?

This book is an earlier sequel which I have somehow missed among the 8 or so now completed. It is, like the others, a good clean story about Botswanan culture and Mma Ramotswe's adventures with her detective agency. She is a bit of a feminist in a male dominated culture. No 1 Ladies Detective Agency stories are always a delight for my listening.

I hope Alexander McCall Smith writes a few more of this series.

Since the introduction of dietary guidelines calling for reduced fat intake in the 1970s, a strange phenomenon has occurred: Americans have steadily, inexorably become heavier, less healthy, and more prone to diabetes than ever before. After putting more than two thousand of his at-risk patients on a wheat-free regimen and seeing extraordinary results, cardiologist William Davis has come to the disturbing conclusion that it is not fat, not sugar, not our sedentary lifestyle that is causing America’s obesity epidemic—it is wheat.

Would you consider the audio edition of Wheat Belly to be better than the print version?

    Did not read print version.

What other book might you compare Wheat Belly to and why?

The End of Illness and Animal Vegetable Miracle because the topics open the reader's eyes to important areas of health not commonly publicized.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Tom Weiner?

Someone who could convey the sense of humor that Davis has. Tom Weiner is too dry.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

It would be a documentary -

    Any additional comments?

Again I will emphasize that Type2 diabetics should consider eliminating wheat as part of their disease control and possibly even cure.

Is there a science to love? In this groundbreaking audiobook, psychiatrist and neuroscientist Amir Levine and psychologist Rachel S. F. Heller reveal how an understanding of attachment theory - the most advanced relationship science in existence today - can help us find and sustain love. Attachment theory forms the basis for many best-selling books on the parent/child relationship, but there has yet to be an accessible guide to what this fascinating science has to tell us about adult romantic relationships - until now.

This is a book about men. Not all men, just emotionally unhealthy men. The ones who make you question, "Is it him or is it me? Am I making too big a deal out of this? I try to tell him how I feel, but he says I'm overreacting or needy or it's all my fault". Relationships are hard work, but how hard should they be? When do you know you are struggling too hard to make a relationship succeed?

Went well with Attached. Attached has a clinical basis which helped deepen my understanding of the psychology. Deal Breakers is good practical girl to girl advice.

Married people experience love most strongly through five love languages - quality time, words of encouragement, gifts, acts of service, and physical touch. With thoughtfulness and a gee-whiz tone that works well in all his audios, Gary Chapman aims his insights at men who want more from marriage, as well as those who have more to give. He's a humble teacher, describing the five languages with satisfying examples from his counseling practice and framing his ideas as suggestions.

Anthony Powell's universally acclaimed epic encompasses a four-volume panorama of twentieth century London. Hailed by Time as "brilliant literary comedy as well as a brilliant sketch of the times," A Dance to the Music of Time opens just after World War I. Amid the fever of the 1920s and the first chill of the 1930s, Nick Jenkins and his friends confront sex, society, business, and art.

I enjoy British and period books, for the culture and history, and I deliberately seek out unabridged version of everything, but the details this author includes describing body language - posture, hand gestures, facial expressions and even breath sounds, etc - is too distracting from the dialogue. I have stopped listening after only a few hours of this narration. It is too painful to listen to the whole thing.
