Very interesting setting and characters
The female directed bar
I enjoy all of the fools gold series and the pathos they perject
This is my second audio by Gwynne Forster. She is an excellent writer and has a gift for understandable English. The many characters are extinct and memorable. Dysfunction can be recognized in families; but there are always a few who are loyal and attached without reserve. This story is about family, many of which can be close, distant by blood or via marriage. Feelings of love, resentment and envy are presented in the story, and is a product of writer who can reach, touch, and give many elements of "a Family"
well articulated and a positive representation of all the characters.
The narrator. The audio version needs a narrator with better tonality.
As usual, this story was consistent with the authors beautiful gift for writing. She needs to listen to her narrators as Joy Hooper should be off her list
Horrible, squeaky, boring
Well written, smooth flowing and great story.
entire series a must read as the characters are recognized in each of the books.
This series was really great. I listened to the complete Fools Gold series and enjoyed all the books. This is a great author and I have enjoyed all of the book I read. The lead into the next book flowed well, the characters are well defined and showed the human side of the lives we live.
Nora Roberts is one of my favorite authors. I have read all of the J.D. Robb series and they are wonderful reading. The characters are dynamic and the stories move with clarity. Dolores
