Master of suspense James Patterson continues the Women's Murder Club series with this nail-biter of a sequel to 1st to Die. Four women - a police detective, an assistant D.A., a journalist, and a medical examiner - combine their efforts, risking everything, to catch a serial killer. "As with Patterson's best novels," Booklist says, "the surprises keep coming until the final pages."

This book was not near as good as First to die and the lady who read it was not as good either. I'm going to give the 3rd book a try and see how good it is.

FBI Special Agent Griffin Hammersmith, last seen in Backfire, has been recruited by Dillon Savich to join his unit in Washington, D.C. Savich sees something special in Hammersmith, an almost preternatural instinct for tracking criminals. While on his way to D.C., Hammersmith plans to visit his sister, Delsey, a student at Stanislaus School of Music in Maestro, Virginia. Before he arrives, he gets a phone call that Delsey has been found naked and unconscious, lying in a pool of blood, after a wild party. The blood isn’t hers - so to whom does it belong? Griffin must protect Delsey, but from whom?

    Better story line.

    No

Determined to find out what happened to her former deputy chief, Jack Fielding, murdered six months earlier, Kay Scarpetta travels to the Georgia Prison for Women, where an inmate has information not only on Fielding, but also on a string of grisly killings. The murder of an Atlanta family years ago, a young woman on death row, and the inexplicable deaths of homeless people as far away as California seem unrelated. But Scarpetta discovers connections that compel her to conclude that what she thought ended with Fielding's death and an attempt on her own life is only the beginning....

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Sure if the person likes this sort of read.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Red Mist?

The end, finding who did it.

What about Kate Burton???s performance did you like?

I'm not sure I like the way she reads, it sounds like Kay is angry all the time and it just goes bang bang bang with facts, maybe too many facts, too much info.

    Any additional comments?

I love listening to Patricia Cornwell books. I feel I know the characters.

  • The China Study: The Most Comprehensive Study of Nutrition Ever Conducted and the Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss, And Long-term Health

The China Study offers conclusive evidence that a change of diet can dramatically reduce the risks of heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. The book is based on the most comprehensive study of nutrition ever conducted, a 20-year joint project between Cornell University, Oxford University, and the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine. The study surveyed the eating habits of 6,500 adults from all over China and Taiwan and found a direct correlation between diet and disease.

James says: "Deserves a second listen"
    "The China Study"
    Overall

This book needs to be read by every living person! This country could be changed dramatically if we would heed what T. Colin Campbell is saying but sad to say only a small number of people will find this book and do what it says. Our government is destroying us in favor of the almighty dollar.
