For forty years, Colony 3245.12 has been Ofelia’s home. On this planet far away in space and time from the world of her youth, she has lived and loved, weathered the death of her husband, raised her one surviving child, lovingly tended her garden, and grown placidly old. And it is here that she fully expects to finish out her days - until the shifting corporate fortunes of the Sims Bancorp Company dictates that Colony 3245.12 is to be disbanded, its residents shipped off, deep in cryo-sleep, to somewhere new and strange and not of their choosing.

Unfortunately, this narrator is simply impossible for me to understand. She constantly slurs her words and uses unusualy pitch changes. I couldn't last more than about 10 minutes, so I can't comment on the story itself.

Sequestered in the blackness of the dreaded Tower of High Sorcery in Palanthas, surrounded by nameless creatures of evil, Raistlin Majere weaves a plan to conquer the darkness - to bring it under his control. Crysania, a beautiful and devoted cleric of Paladine, tries to use her faith to lead Raistlin from the darkness. She is blind to his shadowed designs, and he draws her slowly into his neatly woven trap. Made aware of Raistlin’s plan, a distraught Caramon travels back in time to the doomed city of Istar in the days before the Cataclysm.

One of my favorite series. However, I was forced to give up and return the book after only the first chapter. This narrator cannot properly pronounce any of the major characters.
Let see, in just the first chapter alone, he had pronounced Elistan as Elisin, Palidine as Palidin, Huma as Hooma, and Raistlin as Rastlin. OMG. How did the publisher allow the release of this butchery?
I would give anything to have these books re-narrated by the excellent Paul Boehmer, who did such an excellent job bringing the first trilogy to life.
Aside from the above, buyers should be aware that, unlike the first trilogy; this narration is merely a stoic simple reading with no attempt at characterization.
