I almost quit at book 2 because of too much villain dialogues, but i`m glad i kept listening. It really picked up in book 3 and 4.Pretty good story telling by r.a salvatore yet again. If you have not read the first series, you might want to start there.
For sure one of the best in the series, the author ties up a lot of loose ends.the story flows, well done, still one of the best authors out there.really worth the read !
Great story, the narrator is excellent as always.I really enjoy Marvin as a character and will surely listen to it again in a year or so to revisit the crazy scientific inventions.this is one of the most enjoyable production on audible in my opinion.i hope to see more of these characters but the steel world series is great too.
This book had plenty of action,i`m a big fan of the series,it was much better than i expected from some reviews.it doesn`t make an apology of the ss but describes the atrocities of war and heart wrenching decisions that must be made to save the most civilians.i found this book a bit more realistic with the really great tank battles! I also liked the main character an honorable old tank commander who will fight to the last and the hindowy tank engeeneer become fighter.
i took a chance and really enjoyed this space adventure!the narrator is really excellent,it is like watching a good animation sci-fi movie.the story keeps surprising us with new aliens.its got space stations, armored soldiers bodyguards protecting the exploring trader,it remind me a bit of star trek too, very good book!
I like that John Ringo`s stories are well thought out about strategy and logistics, lots of action after the first couple of hours wich are still interesting. The narrator is top notch.really worth the listen,i`m hooked!
this is one of the rare book i could almost finish in one day but enjoy even more if not tired. One of the best combination of author and narrator, mark boyett does well the transition to a bit more serious story(friendship, courage, loyalty).I found it as good if not even better than star force.looking forward to the next book!
Despite the negative reviews,we see quite a bit of a.x.l Pendergast.it is one the books i enjoyed the most from these authors and the narrator is really excellent,it would be nice to see him narrate more mystery stories.Corrie swanson is still rushing into danger but meets very interesting friends.the paralel between 1876 and present and the lost sherlock holmes story makes for a great book;one of their top 5 ,even better then ``Riptide`` and close to the ``reliquery`` in my opinion.
it is a pretty good book with harkell harpell, some scenes resembling pirates of the carribeans`s warship battles and ghosts.(this book was written way before).a good book in the drizzt legacy series.really looking forward to the hunter`s blades trilogy and others i missed.
I picked up this book in paperback almost 20 years ago and it introduced me to the best epic story since i had read tolkien`s the lord of the ring.It is an early book by salvatore,a lot of action in one book ,i got hooked on these charaters anyway. If you`re new to these books you might want to start to start with the book Homeland and the subsequent novels who are really gems in fantasy literature.also the narrator is excellent with all the different voices and in the battle scenes.don`t miss this saga!
this book is very good.the story really moves along couldn`t stop listening.the narrator is excellent. This is how a stephen king novel should be performed !
