I almost quit at book 2 because of too much villain dialogues, but i`m glad i kept listening. It really picked up in book 3 and 4.Pretty good story telling by r.a salvatore yet again. If you have not read the first series, you might want to start there.
Not your usual star wars with space battles,it is true it is kind of a western story but i found it deep and well written.Jonathan Davis was really excellent, especially Ben Kenobi(sounded just like ewan mc gregor). A bit slow at the beginning but worth the listen. I especially liked the meditations and the spectacular battle scene at the end!
This is one of a couple of books that really rekindled my interest in star wars books, really a new era where the good guys are more bad ass than the vilains.hope we''ll see these new characters again !
Still one of my favorite sword and sorcery authors.if you`ve been a fan of the sword of truth saga as i have you won`t be disapointed.I`m only halfway through but it is almost non stop action and kahlan is taking the forefront with her sword skills and leadership, they are making their escape through the mountains from the half people surrounding them.pretty cool magic from samantha and zedd, hard fighting, pretty good story, really excellent narration from sam tsoutsouvas(would be nice if he would narrate more books!)
I was glad to see star force didn`t die out, this book is in the top 5.I especially enjoyed the underwater world(reminding of europa).New wolds and new species, professor hune `s crustecean talking down to humans really made me laugh, very good book, the best narrator for this type of story!
Really got into it ! i had this book for a while, didn`t know what i was missing.the narrator is excellent, I might have done things differently at the beginning( like ride a bicycle, feasible and easier with heavy bacpack and no more working cars),but it is a really a fun and realistic enough ya novel .lots of interesting off the grid equipment tidbits like about amateur radio, it is not perfect and i think it wiil get even better but If your into survivalist stories that make you think, get it !
In the style of the best zombie stories(d.j molles,j.l bourne and others) still a realistic survavilist story (even though about zombies) interesting new concepts, pretty decent narrator, finished it in two days!
one of my favorite series and the best book so far but they are all really good.i like the humor with a good storyline too,i learned a lot about mythology and i find mostly it is a faced paced feel good book! excellent narration,it really ought to be made in a movie!
This series has the potential to be even better than star force wich was excellent,The story is on the galactic level, with many species ruling having a hive mentality,i really like the idea of humans being hired as mercenaries because of their warring nature. This guy can write! Fast paced action, the storyline is very humane too,it is a very fun listen with the life in the legion and the encounters with the pretty heroines !Really good narration ,can`t wait for the next book!
This trilogy is the one that reminds me the more of Tolkien`s The hobbit ,i really like the great battles and fortresses. There are a lot of new interesting characters and brave dwarves, the narrator did a great job.My favorite trilogy after Homeland, exile and sojourn! (montolio was a great character). At last in audiobook, thanks audible.
I like some insight into the characters`s minds,it is a good star wars story with space battles, yoda, the emperor, anakin`s padawan,Drew Karpyshin and Timothy Zahn are amongst the best star wars authors and marc thompson is really excellent but this production is not bad at all.The narrator is right on with obi-wan `s voice and others!
