But his investigation is ended by the fatal blast from a shotgun. Delano's second chief-of-police is no hero, yet he is also disturbed by what he sees in the missing-persons bulletins. With indifferent parents, Iona Sheehan grew up craving devotion and acceptance. From her maternal grandmother, she learned where to find both: a land of lush forests, dazzling lakes, and centuries-old legends. Ireland. County Mayo, to be exact. Where her ancestors’ blood and magic have flowed through generations - and where her destiny awaits.

I'm "Moting" this book out of my library, too much drama, not enough substance. I just couldn't make my self listen anymore.

Get ready for a smorgasbord of delicious suspense prepared by Goldy Bear, an irrepressible mistress of menus and amateur sleuth. Filled with a cast of colorful characters and superb recipes, Catering to Nobody is the first in a series that has made Diane Mott Davidson a best-selling author and the Queen of the Culinary Mystery.

I like the idea of the story line, but I could not listen anymore. The narrator sounds like she is about to slurp hot coffee. Completely ruined the story for me.

    The Help

What does Orlagh Cassidy and Bahni Turpin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I love all of the characters, their wants, short comings. You develop an understanding of theses people and their lives and the choices they make or are forced into.

If you could take any character from The Kitchen House out to dinner, who would it be and why?

    all of them
