"Final book in the Trilogy"
These books have a very interesting and imaginative take on the Robin Hood story. A treat for anyone who enjoys tales of the Dark or Middle Ages.
"He combined every suspense storyline."
my husband insists that I try one more Iles book before giving up
No, too long, too many storylines
Easy to listen to.
no
"Interesting--Iearned a lot"
gripping, informative,moving
In Cold Blood
Narrators fits the story
Not necessarily
I had always wanted to know more about this family and about the bunch who had perpetrated these horrendous crimes.
"Disappointing--didn't deliver on description blurb"
story was too slow and didn't take us where we wanted to go with it
Jeff Shara's new WW II novel
I don't follow narrators.
we needed more reason to care about these characters than we got. very little humanity until the final scenes with the sister.
I was just disappointed overall. I didn't like any of the characters enough.
"Enjoyed thoroughly"
Interesting mystery
setting during WW I
Yes, but that wasn't possible.
I will continuing this heroine in her adventures.
"War is worse then hell."
This book gives rich detail on being a Private joining the Army. Training to be a paratrooper, actually going to war and fighting to get back to the Airborne units after D-Day and freezing in the Battle of the Bulge--all these experiences made me wonder why we go to war in the first place. To say "war is hell" is a oomplete understatement--made by a General.
"Girl Power"
This is a fun read. Character development is strong, insiteful and imaginative. Whether or not you knit, it's enjoyable to read. I found I couldn't wait to get back to it each time I had to put it down.
"Where was the book editor?"
I can see why it was on sale. This guy needed a therapist--not giving us a complete downer of a book. This would have been much better as a short story after a good editor worked it over.
"My Life"
If you have ever wondered what it's like to be President of the United States--read this book. Although it takes a long time to wade through it, it's worth the trip. Narrator made me forget I wasn't listening to the Author.
"To the Last Man"
This Author is truly great. World War I is a period in history that many students of Baby Boomer age never covered fully in American History. This book was full of new information to me. I have since become much more interested in this period in our history.
