It's helpful to follow this series in order, as you age & develop with the characters. Wonderful geographic descriptions combined with education on the Ojibwe culture and characters you really care about accompanied by a good mystery in every one.
He is one of the funniest people on the earth today. I was completely charmed by how he is
still so impressed by other greats in his field and others. He tells one great story after another, chronicling his life. Highly recommend.
Got a little impatient with some meandering, but Grafton has put out another good mystery - not a great one, but definitely a good one.
Great mystery, but if you can write the Harry Potter books, you can write anything!
Could not get excited about this story or the characters. After experiencing so many really great legal thrillers by the likes of Scott Turow, John Lescroat; even David Rosenfelt, this was such a poor imitation.
Not usually a big fan of science fiction, but something made me try this book. Boy am I glad I did. Even though I couldn't understand all the scientific & mathematical calculations Mark Watney had to do to keep himself alive, I never bored of the story. It's well written and hilarious with great characters. HIGHLY recommend this book. Bravo, Mr. Weir!
I have enjoyed everyone of P. T. Deutermann's books available on audio and have really enjoyed every one. I was so excited to see he had a new book out, but he phoned this one in. No, that's unfair. You will love this book if you're an archeologist. I, however, am a fan of good, fast paced mystery/thriller/espionage. And, in my opinion, this isn't it.
Johh Hart is a very good writer who makes you feel the pain of his very-definitely-flawed protagonist. The story catches you from the first chapter, even though it hurts and you hang on til the end. First book of his that I've listened to/read, but I will definitely try another.
Good follow up to the first book in this series set in the California Horse culture. Good suspense and a little romance. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys Linda Howard, Karen Robards, or Suzanne Brockmann.
Craig Johnson never fails; one of my favorite series. Hooks you from start to finish. As always, George Guidall is outstanding. Could listen to him read the phone book!
