In The Unquiet, private detective Charlie Parker returns to untangle a horrifying story of betrayal, unclean desires, and murder -- a story of never-ending evil whose conclusion is still unknown.

What did you like best about The Unquiet? What did you like least?

I like all of Connolly's books. The least thing that I liked was the Narrator. To me, Bird is 40'ish and Mr. Guidall makes him sound like an elderly gentleman. Voice just does not go with my vision of Charlie Parker.

Would you recommend The Unquiet to your friends? Why or why not?

I would recommend to most friends. The friends who balk at graphic writing would need to pass on Connolly books in this series.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of George Guidall?

    Someone with younger voice.

Stephen King returns to the characters and territory of one of his most popular novels ever, The Shining, in this instantly riveting novel about the now middle-aged Dan Torrance (the boy protagonist of The Shining) and the very special 12-year-old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals. This is an epic war between good and evil, a gory, glorious story that will thrill the millions of hyper-devoted fans of The Shining and wildly satisfy anyone new to the territory of this icon in the King canon.

Would you try another book from Stephen King and/or Will Patton?

    Definitely

What could Stephen King have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

    Nothing

Would you be willing to try another one of Will Patton’s performances?

    Yes

What character would you cut from Doctor Sleep?

    None

    Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed this book. King put Shining history in but just enough. One of SK's best efforts.

Mother, wife, private investigator... vampire. Six years ago federal agent Samantha Moon was the perfect wife and mother, your typical soccer mom with the minivan and suburban home. Then the unthinkable happens, an attack that changes her life forever. And forever is a very long time for a vampire. Now the world at large thinks Samantha has developed a rare skin disease, a disease which forces her to quit her day job and stay out of the light of the sun.

Where does Moon Dance rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    3

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The fact that she is living a somewhat normal life w/2 kids

Have you listened to any of Dina Pearlman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No but she is very good

    Any additional comments?

I enjoyed the book but would have loved some background. The book starts 6 years after the main character has been attacked and that is all we know. A little more detail on Who, what, when and where would have been nice.

When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The books are great and they do have a story line that hooks you. However, for the first time ever, I had to quit listening because I disliked the narration so much. Maybe I should have gone for the abridged version instead of the unabridged. I had to skip the repetitive reading of the emails, i.e. "Christian Gray, CEO of Gray Enterprises Inc.". I went and bought the books which I enjoyed.
