I listened to the first book - Dirty Girls Social Club - and rather enjoyed it. By the end of the book I had come to like the 6 main characters and their different stories. I liked it so much that I bought this sequel before my new credits were even earned.
I don't know if I can make it through anymore of this book. I'm almost 3 hours into it and appalled at what has happened to these characters. All of a sudden I'm listening to a soft porn book. All they talk about is sex - and way too graphically for my tastes. I'm not a prude by any means but I find myself completely repulsed by their new monologues. I keep hoping the next character will talk normally, and much to my dismay, they don't. I know there is a story line in there somewhere with Sarah and Roberto...but I don't think I'll make it through to find out what it is.

I have the hardcover book but thought it'd be nice to have the audio version to listen to while in the car or traveling. I love the prayers and I love Sylvia, I just wish Hay House or whomever would have spent the extra money to make it searchable. It's one long chapter where Sylvia just reads 60 prayers in a row so you can't skip around to find the one(s) that you want to hear at that moment. The sample didn't really make it clear, nor did the description...Disappointed.

I didn't realize from the description that this was a period piece and I found it very slow and boring...couldn't get past the first hour - my mind kept wandering from the story...never finished the book.
