This second volume finds Royce and Hadrian on a quest to enlist the southern Nationalists to aid the ever-weakening kingdom of Melengar. Where does Rise of Empire rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    Top 1 or 2.

What did you like best about this story?

    Always captivating, never dry.

What does Tim Gerard Reynolds bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Depth of character - a good example is the way he reads Hadrian's (sp?) voice, it just makes the guy sound so much more authentic.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    All parts are good.

    Any additional comments?

The 1st book(s) in the series is also phenomenal.

Here is the precursor to Jurassic Park. Victorian explorers have heard there is a remote plateau where dinosaurs still survive, and a group set outs on a dangerous mission to find out more about it.

"Thrilling Adventure! It's a classic for a reason!"

Where does The Lost World rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Top 3. I also love Treasure Island and Sherlock Holmes.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Lost World?

Wow, too many to name. Sit back and let your imagination take in the amazing way the author portrays this "lost world." Their narrow escape is really cool but I don't want to say too much to give anything away.

Which character – as performed by Glen McCready – was your favorite?

They were all done with individual characteristics - very well done by the narrator. I might have a slight sweetness for the big burly captain.

    Any additional comments?

I'll probably listen to this again in a year, it is really phenomenal.

What made the experience of listening to Sheepfarmer’s Daughter the most enjoyable?

The reason I like any book is when the author let's me visualize another world and another time; this book does a great job of pulling you in and immersing you in the life of the main character. It's exciting and interesting but not always following the obvious plot of a hero story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sheepfarmer’s Daughter?

Well I'm not done yet, only 3/4, but while driving back on a 3 hour trip I was struck by goosebumps and tears so many times during Pax's plight to inform the Duke of the approaching enemy.

Which character – as performed by Jennifer Van Dyck – was your favorite?

    Pax, of course.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Well, maybe not 1 sitting as it is rather long, but it so good that I look forward to my next listen.

    Any additional comments?

A reading or listening recommendation: Dragonflight (trilogy) by Anne McCraffrey. I'm reading this right now (when I'm not listening to Sheepfarmer's Daughter) and it almost seems as if these 2 stories are taking place in the same time but maybe at opposite ends of the world.

Treasure Island must be the most enthralling adventure book ever written. As we listen to the voice of Jim Hawkins telling his extraordinary tale, and later that of his companion Dr. Livesey, we are plunged into a world of pirates, buried treasure, mutiny, and deceit.

    Jason says: "Rousing tale"
"It's true - this is a great book; well narrated."

What did you love best about Treasure Island?

Many have already said how great the story line is and also the narration so I'll simply say: buy it, listen and enjoy!

Who was your favorite character and why?

The boy and pirate - obviously.

What about Jasper Britton’s performance did you like?

    Spectacular!
