The new Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University's Walking One-Night Stand. Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby needs—and wants—to avoid.

The 2 star struck lovers from dysfunctional families working their way through the baggage of the past. This book had the potential to be good, but it was not to be. Definitely a YA book written at a 6th grade reading level.

Cussler has a formula and it works well for him. It works well for me. Action, history, and suspense all rolled into one.

Stephen Sheerin was born to play on Broadway - or at least, under it. He's a musician, a conductor, and his dream is to music-direct a big Broadway musical. After years of toiling in the pit of some of the best-loved (and loathed) hits on the Great White Way, he's just been given his big break. Can life really be going that well? Of course not.

With the cast of narrators, I was looking forward to listening to this book.I made it through chapter 8 and I am not sure how. The Seth's narration grated on my nerves and the neurotic ramblings annoyed me even more. This book was just not for me.

The Poisonwood Bible is a story told by the wife and four daughters of Nathan Price, a fierce evangelical Baptist who takes his family and mission to the Belgian Congo in 1959. They carry with them all they believe they will need from home, but soon find that all of it - from garden seeds to Scripture - is calamitously transformed on African soil.

Barbara Kingsolver weaved a wonderful story with something that intrigues everyone. If you can suffer the narrator long enough, the writing will pull you in to a point where the narrator no longer matters. The 40 year journey and growth of the Price ladies in the Congo is amazing, beautiful and tragic.

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue - Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is - she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.
