Prequel to my favorite zombie series that is as entertaining as the Zombie Fallout series. I am going to the Indian hill series next as he has not disappointed me yet. If you love rampant sarcasm, quick one liners all mixed with some drama this book is for you too!!
This book is pure entertainment at its finest. It's not going to solve world hunger or bring any epiphanies about world peace,but if you are looking to laugh and cry and get attached to characters this book is a winner.

I could not put The Spirit Clearing aside--and I did not want to do anything while I was listening for fear I would miss something, a sarcastic remark or a pivotal moment. This also resolves several question that were left hanging in the zombie fallout series. I am going to listen to them again as this reminded me how much I enjoyed them the first go round!

Outstanding book made so much more intense because it is real. I generally read scifi and dystopian novels but felt compelled to try this book and I was not disappointed. It is well written and the author does an amazing job of helping the reader feel like they are witnessing everything play out.

I cried in frustration and happiness. I am rarely moved so strongly. I highly recommend this book. I felt compelled to complete the book in one sitting and struggled to set it aside to go to bed and stayed up way too late before forcing myself to sleep.

There are lots of dashed hopes, ups and downs, and a general roller coaster ride to hell and back. I was on that roller coaster in spite of the knowledge that I knew the eventual outcome.

I found myself looking everyone and everything up online. Susannah Cahalan was brutally honest and utilized all the data available to make sense of this period of her life. Again, it is an amazing book. Highly recommended!!

It is a great premise with lots of promise but it was poorly executed. I am not a big Patterson fan...might have read/listened to one or two of his books. Zoo was predictable and preachy as another reviewer put it. The science was shaky and the answer came to the main character via an epiphany--it was just too easy. Too much suspension of disbelief required along with an extremely low opinion of human-kind turned great potential into a flop in this readers opinion.

Frameshift seems to diverge from Robert Sawyers other novels. It is a good book, but my least favorite of his novels. Parts of it were exceptional but it seemed to skip around a lot and took too long to tie the story lines together. I almost gave up about 2 1/2 hrs into it...but because it was Sawyer I stuck with it. The the last 3rd is pretty good and deals with similar subject matter as many of his other novels. Probably will not listen more than once. Good but not Great!
