"Cowbooooy!"
I find that the Johnson Brother are all very sexy, but Jared just has that very dangerous appeal about him. This book is far better than Caleb, but each book set's up the next one
Pros's the stories in each book are funny, although Caleb was the funniest, Cons: her sex scenes need work, two people shouldn't be having a full conversation while in the thro's of passion. If your on the run from enemies, how do you have time to literally stop argue with each other.
All and all it is a good series and I have listen to all three books and each story gets better than the last. Can't wait for Slayed's book
"Talk Dirty To Me!"
This was my first time reading this author, the story was an easy and enjoyable reading, with some laughter thrown in between. lost of sex with plenty of dirty talk. Although some might say the sex is over kill I felt it flowed with the story.I will continue to watch out for the third book, each book has its on enemies, not the same boring adversary. Taran is a latent wolf which means she can not fully change into her wolf form, To make an alliance with another pack her abusive, controlling father who has promised her to an Alpha who is also known for his cruelty of women. Trey the hero who needs to make an alliance with Taran father, kidnaps her strikes a deal with her to get the alliance he needs and get her out of mating the other alpha. If you are considering this, I truly recommended it,
"Different"
The Judge and Jury is still out on this, I really did not care for this new series as much as the others.. If you read " The Host" by Stephanie Meyer's the story is somewhat like that. Except one has to die and agree to share their body with the spirit of the body walker One minute you may be hearing the main character and the next the other personality So basically you have two individuals sharing a body. I may or may not go on to the second book. Read or listen for yourself and see if you like it. The narrator does and excellent job and there is a twist to it, not a bad story,
just different.
"Over It!"
I can honestly say I am done with this series, the build up is slow, learning about Mira's ineffectually ways of dealing with the death of Kellan. The little spit fire Mira has turned into a brooding, whining annoying young lady,
The story takes place twenty years after the world came to know vampires existed and what happen after first dawn when they were exposed. Plus the events leading up to the peace summit.
We are introduce to Lucan's son Darren and how him and his father are at odds with each other. He is like his father, a born leader and Lucan recognizes it and tries to keep him out of the field fear for his safety. Meanwhile, all Darren wants is a chance to prove himself as a man.
There is a new enemy, not going to spoil it for anyone, since the mystery is part of the appeal, but I will give you a clue, in earlier stories they talked about where the tear drop over a crested moon came from.
The warrior's children are all in their late teens and early twenties, so each one will find his or her mate in this new series, while fighting not only the humans but their new enemy as well.
If you are not ready to let go of the series than continue on, all the original warriors and mates are re- introduced and their political position they hold in world.
If the last book was a struggle for you, this one will make you want to scream in frustration.
"THE BOMB!"
Carl Weber did it again! He is the KING of spinster, that man sure knows how to spin a story. This is a murder mystery, just when you might think you know who the killer is, NOPE! It takes another turn, the book is filled with good humor and real life issues. The ladies who sit on the stoop of the building reminds you of 227. Without giving anything away here are the characters: Nancy who is in a marriage that is over, but stays for the sake of her children is having affair with Ben Sr. the fireman, who is not only doing Nancy but a couple of the other ladies iin the building. Connie: who is married to Avery who is down and out because he lost his six figure job and is now working in a furniture story is turned off by Connie's weight gain, she tries to keep her marriage together, but Avery is determine to leave, Avery: runs into a guy named Kane who teaches him how to be happy, the motto is live like you are dying and that is exactly what he does. Then you have Crystal who is coke head and has a history with the man in 3B which the story revolves around Darryl Graham. Ben Jr. who develops a friendshiip with Darryl. His father becomes a little jealous. My only complaint is, you never really get to know Darryl I felt by the end of the story we should have known something of his background. The author keeps his dealing and his history a mystery. I am hoping he does another book telling us the story of Darryl Graham, but with that said, you will have a blast reading this book!
"Extremely Funny!"
This was by far the funniest in the series. I did not stop laughing. buy this book if you like comedy. The narrator did a fantastic job with the different voices. My favorite character was Digger
"Intense But Funny"
Carl Weber has not disappointed me thus far, The man knows how to twist a story and take you on a thrill ride. While laughing your behind off!. I won't say anything to give the story away, Some people didn't like it, but I loved it. I think it is a credit well spent for 12 hours.
Patricia R Floyd is the WORST! why don't they tell her smacking is NOT cute or sexy in an audio-book. Carla Patterson was not far behind. but a lot better than Patricia.
Ezra Knight the voice of L.C. is okay, but who talks like that. but all in all it was a good book.
"Hilarious!"
Kresley Cole has sold me! the book is very FUNNY granted one must get pass the first 3 hours, it has a slow build but is necessary to the story. When Ellie starts her hillbilly talking I cracked up "that mouth of Yorns" and "I rode you like a lazy horse and made you cream jeans" Some said it was too long, what couples you know just make up instantaneous over a little misunderstanding of almost beheading?? It also brings in the world of Ivana's (Lothaire's mother) people she was looking for and telling him about at the beginning of the story. GET IT! you will not be disappointed
"CRAP"
Awful, had too many sub-stories which took away from the two main characters. Most of the book was the heroin trying to force herself on the hero and the hero saying he did not want her, although he did. Image most of the book " I know he wants me I can see it in his eyes". " I don't want you, what is it about her that I want her but I am not going to take her, she has cast a spell on me". Chapter after chapter of repeating those words in different ways
"They Don't Come Sexier!"
Jace is the third Johnson Brother, he is a hair trigger away from exploding, but I find him to be the funnies of all the brother. He loves with a passion and is very patient with the women he has been searching for. Mary is on the very on a nervous breakdown, although she still loves Jace, she is afraid to give him her heart again in fear of being left. It take a while for the miscommunication to clear the air between them and Mary to come around, but when she does, she does it in a big way. You will love this book, but in you must read or listen to the other two books before this one. Each book sets up the next.
