Since 1990, when Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time® burst on the world with its first book, The Eye of the World, listeners have been anticipating the final scenes of this extraordinary saga, which has sold over 40 million copies in over 32 languages. When Robert Jordan died in 2007, all feared that these concluding scenes would never be written. But working from notes and partials left by Jordan, established fantasy writer Brandon Sanderson stepped in to complete the masterwork.

A proper end to a great story. I'm sorry to move on and know that there will be will be no more adventures with these characters. Sanderson did well in finishing the job Jordan started.

John Perry did two things on his 75th birthday. First, he visited his wife's grave. Then he joined the army. The good news is that humanity finally made it into interstellar space. The bad news is that planets fit to live on are scarce - and alien races willing to fight us for them are common. So, we fight, to defend Earth and to stake our own claim to planetary real estate. Far from Earth, the war has been going on for decades: brutal, bloody, unyielding.

At once wildly original and stuffed with irresistible nostalgia, Ready Player One is a spectacularly genre-busting, ambitious, and charming debut—part quest novel, part love story, and part virtual space opera set in a universe where spell-slinging mages battle giant Japanese robots, entire planets are inspired by Blade Runner, and flying DeLoreans achieve light speed.

Would you consider the audio edition of Ready Player One to be better than the print version?

Wil Wheaton gives the main character something extra then just reading it in print.

What did you like best about this story?

The whole 80's pop culture, the idea of the game, pretty much everything.

Which character – as performed by Wil Wheaton – was your favorite?

    Parzeval/Wade Watts

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Cant really go into it without spoilers but the whole Rush thing was pretty cool

    Any additional comments?

I must have listened to the this story over half a dozen times, it moves quickly, its like watching your favorite movie over and over. Having grown up in the 80's makes this even more special for me. The book is not perfect but its very entertaining.

The ending may not be what people wanted but as in life there's always loss. I didn't care for the 2nd book too much but i'm glad I read this last book.

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

I've read King for over 3 decades since a freshman in high school, his horror novels have made me imagine things that I doubt I could ever have nightmares on my own. 11/22/63 is different mature form of writing, one that those who know King's works has developed with the times. Insomniac was for the the turning point of his writings that showed me that it's not about the horror then about the realization of the whats really going on in the big picture. this novel 11/22/63 is great one. Unlike It, or The Stand; which are two of my favorites or even the Dark Tower series this novel is something different and I look forward to what other new things King has for us.

    Story

I remember reading this in high school in '92, i was really into post apocalyptic type stories. All these years later this story has not lost one bit of greatness that it was to me back then. It's well read by the narrator and different voices he performs for the many characters in the story are well done. This is a must have for any sci-fi lover that hasnt already picked this up.
