Six shots. Five dead. One heartland city thrown into a state of terror. But within hours the cops have it solved: a slam-dunk case. Except for one thing. The accused man says: "You got the wrong guy". Then he says: "Get Reacher for me". And sure enough, from the world he lives in - no phone, no address, no commitments - ex-military investigator Jack Reacher is coming. In Lee Child's astonishing thriller, Reacher's arrival will change everything - about a case that isn't what it seems, about lives tangled in baffling ways, about a killer who missed one shot - and by doing so gives Jack Reacher one shot at the truth.

I first heard of Jack Reacher through the new Jack Reacher movie preview. That preview with Tom Cruise looked awsome so I went and checked out the Book. After reading the first 20 pages for free on Amazon.com I went and bought it on Audible.com and I loved it. It is full of crime scene deductions that really drive a story. It stays interesting all through out the book. It made me go back to Audible.com and buy "The killing Floor" (Another great story). In my job I work many hours alone and having a great story to listen to while I work is awsome. I highly recomend this Book to anyone interested in Mystery, action and adventure.

Mark Lane tried the only US court case in which the jurors concluded that the CIA plotted the murder of President Kennedy, but there was always a missing piece: How did the CIA control cops and secret service agents on the ground in Dealey Plaza? How did federal authorities prevent the House Select Committee on Assassinations from discovering the truth about the complicity of the CIA? Now, Mark Lane tells all in this explosive new book.

First let me say that I love this subject. Mark Lane is the best in the (What really happened to JFK) Books. Mark Lane did his homework before he wrote anything and his facts are easily verified. It was really scary reading about all the illegal drugs many people gave to unsuspecting people and what happened to those people afterword (Unibomber is a prime example). I said many people because if I had said the CIA I would have been sued or worse. I would love to see a documentary made on the Last Word, but no one will, because they are afraid. This book is however a bit long in spots, there is so much information that it becomes dull and boring in places.
Mark Lane is lucky the CIA didn't kill him off, I'm sure they wanted to, many/many times. He talks about the other conspiracies and through logic and facts destroys them, with ease.
If you love JFK conspiracies then this is the book for you, I highly recommend it.

Wayward Pines, Idaho, is quintessential small-town America — or so it seems. Secret Service agent Ethan Burke arrives in search of two missing federal agents, yet soon is facing much more than he bargained for. After a violent accident lands him in the hospital, Ethan comes to with no ID and no cell phone. The medical staff seems friendly enough, but something feels…off. As the days pass, Ethan’s investigation into his colleagues’ disappearance turns up more questions than answers. Why can’t he make contact with his family in the outside world? Why doesn’t anyone believe he is who he says he is? And what’s the purpose of the electrified fences encircling the town? Are they keeping the residents in? Or something else out? Each step toward the truth takes Ethan further from the world he knows, until he must face the horrifying possibility that he may never leave Wayward Pines alive…

First Off I read this book because I read several excellent reviews; I'm here to say that those reviews were misleading. The story is confusing and it was not a page turner. It started out interesting/riveting but it fell very quickly. I already forgot the name of the leading man in the story, that's how good it is. So; let me just say save some money and time and tell you to go find something better to read.

In 1948, an alien starship crash-landed in the New Mexico desert and brought with it the key to mankind’s future. Code-named the Rho Project, the landing was shrouded in secrecy, and only the highest-ranking US government and military personnel knew it existed. Until now....

I'm not one to read or Listen to many Sci-Fi stories, but the "Second Ship" story interested me. It's full of the mysteries that I love. The action that keeps me interested, and the Clift hanging that wanted me to buy "Immune" the second book in the series.
This story is about Alien technology, teenage kids, evil Government scientest and everything in between. I'm in the middle of "Immune" and find that book a little long on detail but just as good. The story surrounds the finding of one Alien ship by the U.S. Government and the Evil Dr. Stephenson, and another Alien ship found by three teenagers who were just out having some fun. Dr. Stephenson has many hidden agendas and the three teenagers are working in secret to try to stop him, but the harder they try the more difficult that task becomes. Makes me want to buy the third book "Worm-hole" and see how everything turns out.

I love the TV show, the chemistry between all the actors is perfect. The book however missed out on that chemestry. The story took to long, I was getting impatent with the progress, there was no ergancy to the story at all until the end but by then I lost enterest in the story. Sorry but its not as good as the TV show.

Deep in the Nevada desert is the most secure compound in the United States: Area 51. The most chilling experiment of all time is about to begin there. The president doesn't know about it. Just a few scientists and military personnel working for Majestic-12 do, and they are about to make a very big mistake.

    Story

This book told a story I've either read before, watched on TV before or seen on a movie screen. Having said that I still loved this book because of the suspence. I couldn't wait to read what happens next and those are the books I really get into. The book's main carractors are very different people investigaing UFOs & Aliens and they end up in the end saving our planet. You have the Goverment investigator (Presidential Science Advisor), A journalist (Looking for her missing friend), An old man from WWII with many secrets to tell and a Military man who just happens to work in Area 51. They all start out in the story not knowing each other but by the end they trust no one but each other. Best of all, when the book ends you can't wait to buy the second book in the series "Area 51 The Reply" to find out what will happen next and that is how you sell a story. If you are into UFO & Alien stories then this is a good story to read, but if you are looking for realizum don't waste your time, remember this is just a story to read and enjoy, it is not based on real events - I hope.

I loved the Underland chronicles, second best book series in print today, second only to Harry Potter of coarse. Well written, easy to understand and follow along, with no boring spots to interupt your enjoyment. Suzanne Collins is an excellent author and her Underland Chronicles is much better than her Hunger Games series. There are 5 books in the series and they all flow together like water in a river, and each book can stand by itself without the others if need be. The cast of caractors in this story is wonderfully well written, you fill emotionally attached to them by the time the series ends. So please follow Gregor and his two year old sister Boots along on a great and heart felt journey.
