Here is THE book recounting the life and times of one of the most respected men in the world, Warren Buffett. The legendary Omaha investor has never written a memoir, but now he has allowed one writer, Alice Schroeder, unprecedented access to explore directly with him and with those closest to him his work, opinions, struggles, triumphs, follies, and wisdom. The result is the personally revealing and complete biography of the man known everywhere as "The Oracle of Omaha."

    Mike says: "Fantastic!"
    "Unlike all other Buffet books"
    Overall

This is well narrated, and gives you information about Buffet's personal life that is not in any previous Buffet books. Really interesting!

  • The Last Lion: Winston Spencer Churchill, Volume I: Visions of Glory 1874-1932

Winston Churchill is perhaps the most important political figure of the 20th century. His great oratory and leadership during the Second World War were only part of his huge breadth of experience and achievement. Studying his life is a fascinating way to imbibe the history of his era and gain insight into key events that have shaped our time.

Wolfpacker says: "Superb - Review of Both Volume I & Volume II"
    "Not good for audio"
    Overall

Although this book would probably be really great to read, there is too much detail to absorb in audio format. It is too difficult to catch all the interesting facts, and when listening to audio you can't take a second to reflect on anything, or else you start missing the following passages.

  • It's Not About the Bike: My Journey Back to Life

    • ABRIDGED (4 hrs and 2 mins)
    • By Lance Armstrong, Sally Jenkins
    • Narrated By Oliver Wyman

    Story

People around the world have found inspiration in the story of Lance Armstrong - a world-class athlete nearly struck down in his prime, who fought back to win the world's most grueling test of cycling, the Tour de France. It's Not About the Bike is the amazing story of Armstrong's journey from inauspicious beginnings, through triumph, tragedy, transformation, and transcendence.

    Brenda says: "Inspirational"
"Good story, but could have been done better"
    Overall

For an abridged book like this, it's disappointing when the author is not the one reading. It's hard to tell if the tone in the reader's voice is really the tone that the author intended. But good story.
