Yes, I like Debbie Macomber stories, and I thought Lorelei King did a very good job.
This story was disappointing because it was somewhat fragmented. Perhaps, it will be better after the first of the series because this book lays the groundwork.
And, actually, had I read it rather than listened to it, I might have gotten more involved in the pathos of the characters in the differing subplots. Generally, you stop and start the audio, and it's harder to pick up where you left off. In contrast, reading affords you the opportunity of skimming.
She had very good diction and her voice is unusual-unique but very easy to listen to.
No. I would read this one rather than listen to it.
Although I did not favor this story plot, I feel it is a healthy sign of maturity that Ms. Macomber asks her readers to wait for the outcome of the main charater's story rather than the usual bundling everything up nice and tidy by the close of the story. I love a happy ending as much as the next romantic reader but there is lots of resolution here of so may forms of love. It's nice
