These are not sweet and cute modern fairy tales- they are grim and gruesome- I guess they're the originals from HCA. Way too bloody and non-comforting for me.
I found this book so interesting- I love knowing the "why" behind things and I like lay science.
The narrator's voice reminds me a lot of Garrison Keillor- it is very nice.
I do wish I had gotten the unabridged print book rather than the audio though.
I really prefer the Meryl Streep narration. This one had weird sound effects and I couldn't get through more than five minutes of it!
I'm an adult who enjoys many well written childrens books. As an adult, I found this way too juvenile. And, I found the narrators voice tiresome.
This is a hard one to be an audiobook, though it's a great book. I'd save my money for a printed copy though...
Great story- great narration! Well worth my time!
Great story but narrator's accents are not very good. He sounds more like Casey Kasem than a story teller.
