I don't think I have yelled at a character in a book so much in my life. I was so angry at Kalen and then cared for him and then yelled at him and then.... well you get the picture. I was physically tired by the end. I mean to tell you, whew. I thoroughly enjoyed and hated and couldn't turn off and...well you get the picture. J.D. this was by far the best one of the series. Can't wait to see who will be next in the line up. I was kinda hoping we'd see some wings before the end but that's ok they are coming. Thanks for the rush. Until next time.....
I have to admit my original opinion of this series may have been a bit harsh. I listened to book 1 again this week and was compelled to get book 2. To let you know how much I enjoyed it, I used a credit I was saving for a pre-order. There ya go. I enjoyed it and now that I've finished book 2 I am ready for the next installment in the series.
The story can be lacking but if the narrator is good they can salvage it. Fortunately, this one had the best of both worlds; a captivating storyline and a talented narrator. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Don't know if I want to risk the other titles with different narrators though, but this one is worth it.
This was a very enchanting story. Romance, heartbreak, tragedy, redemption, recompense, resurrection. It has it all. A well written and very well narrated audio. I will definitely look for more titles by this author and more works from this narrator.
No, takes a long time to get the the climax that leaves you hanging in the end. Understand it's a series but too many loose ends.
Jim and the expectation of what comes next.
oh my, as soon as I met V he was mine, and if he weren't mentioned I would be upset. That said, in this book as I get to know Xcore a little and start to understand him, I like him more. He's is letting go of who he thought he was and learning who is really is. I like that.
All of it.
The in between, where will it find you.
Tortured, kindhearted, hunk!
wow, when he realized who he really was. Not that he had the powers of a god, but that he was valuable in spite of the god powers. Also when he was playing the video game with the kid and the other immortals.
EXCELLENT! I wish all of her books in this series were narrated by him.
Yes, and I did.
Ok, I understand suspense, but this is ridiculous. What is with this girl and seeing the obvious. Why does it take her so long to see the truth. First she completely trusts this woman she only met a day ago rather that people she's know all of her life. Stupid. Amanda Ronconi saved the story. There were funny places and sad places but most of the places I was saying,
The story was good but the dumb main character made me angry.
Only if Olivia grows a brain.
I loved the storyline, but the narrator when not reading the character parts read like she was running out breathe. Stop trying to sound sexy and just read the parts.
Yes with a different reader.
I love this series. I can't wait for the next installment. I would've given this book a five star but I did not like the ending at all. Sooo left hanging. Too many questions, what is going on with Quinn and Lela and Quinn and Blaye? What's the deal with Butch and Manny? When is the Virgin Scribe gonna act like a god and help her people with these dang Lessors and what the heck is with Score? Too much to find out about to wait so long. Get those finger to moving Ms. Ward!
