The vividness of the writing and narration can only be compared to watching a classic movie like Casablanca or the Sands of Iwo Jima.
It's mind-boggling how Dufris can take a ship full of men and give vivid, fully-differentiated portrayals of each one. There is a reason he is one of the superstars of the audiobook world. He's a great actor with a naturalistic, human feel to his work. We get warmth to help us connect with the human side of daily life aboard ship and the energy to soar to heights of excitement during the thrilling battle scenes.

This is a perfect match of a great story and a great narrator!
