I love the book, but the editing was horrendous. Repeated phrases, mispoken words, "corrected" words from the speaker without removing the "incorrect" words. In many spots, it was like a rough cut directly from the recording studio, without final editing. Absolutely no attention was paid to the editing of this product. Very disappointing.
Well, the plot sounded interesting. The description online at audible.com sounded good. But, alas, was it good? Not so much.
In reality, the plot is convoluted, the narration dry and boring. I find myself day dreaming during the reading, then snap back to the book and found I must have missed something, because 30 minutes have gone by and I have no idea what just happened.
Ultimately, not worth the time to finish. I'm halfway thru and probably will not finish it, which is sad. I hate leaving books in the middle, and I almost never do.
Next I will be reading "Black Hills", by Nora Roberts. Stay tuned.
Unlike what "kwimalar" and others wrote, this is a very good book. It does *not* recount events from the previous books, but brings them to the necessary conclusion. I almost didn't buy this book given these reviews, I'm so glad I did because the story would be incomplete without this book. PLEASE, if you like the Bean/Peter/Petra storyline, buy this book. You will *not* be disappointed.
