YES, this book is narrated way too much. The story does not flow . . . too much he felt this, she said that, the rest of the books let the story tell it much better. I found myself saying just let him tell her, but instead it was . . . "he wanted to say this".

I loved the story, loved Mia and her strength, hated Gabe (and don't we love to hate the villain!!)

That Mia trusted Gabe even though it was tough to do and he misused it sometimes.

Her new book about Boonsboro Inn is great too, I like when you get to know the characters and then there is more than one book about them.

What does Julia Whelan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I have always loved to listen to a good story. And listening instead of reading it yourself gives you that aspect. Plus it is much faster for me to listen to a book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Well . . . if I didn't have a job or a life. But it really was good!
