It is told by Carol and you can hear her sadness, or laughter and love in her voice.Left nothing out. Funny story about her dog too. I was little when her show was on but loved the skits. She is very honest and it is a must to hear.

After being dumped by his longtime girlfriend, 28-year-old Justin Halpern found himself living at home with his 73-year-old dad. The dad has a honest gruff way of talking but it is funny. He is gruff and his language is a lot of swears but he is loving in his way and it comes threw. Thought it would make me laugh. We all had someone who embarrassed us at times with what they say. This book was one of the best books that I ever listened to. It is told with different voices for each person in the story which made it the best to listen to when he retold events. Loved it.

Looking for a sense of meaning that would make this extra time count, he listens in on things he's heard himself saying in private and in public at critical points in his life.

Brilliant in front of the camera but shy in person, Johnny Carson seldom gave interviews. Now, with Johnny's blessings before he died, McMahon can finally share all the stories that only he knows.

In the mid-70s, Steve Martin exploded onto the comedy scene. By 1978 he was the biggest concert draw in the history of stand-up. In 1981 he quit forever. Born Standing Up is, in his own words, the story of "why I did stand-up and why I walked away".

It was interesting how his life came about and how Steve's family life was like. He is very candid and you would never think this was the way it was.
