It started out good, plot is a little confusing, not sure what the point was, if the character was experiencing a parallel universe or what, I kinda fastforwarded it towards the end cuz to me it just seemed to go on and on and on...
I absolutely LOVED this book. I actually read it and then decided I wanted to hear it too. It was that good. Girl is considered nuts but is actually seeing the future, tied into tarot cards she is one of the good cards and to save the world must find the other cards (people) and destroy them. It did get a little slow and repetitive at times but it's all building to a huge tie in. Unfortunatley there are going to be sequels to wait impatiently for but if the author continues as strong as this first book it will be well worth it.
Oh my goodness, this is the kind of book I live fore\!! Never wanted it to end. What a wonderful heroine, tough girl after her stolen brother and the things she has to go thru and the people she meets. And a huge STANDING OVATION to Heather Lind, she captured the character so well.
This is actually a good story about a half human half demon vampire slayer and her hell hound dog Fang. However...did not enjoy the narration...really could have been a great stroy with a better narrator.
Good story, survivors in a small town..I have always been a Koontz fan so I can't fault too many of his stories.
Young girl on her own in a post apocolyptic world, joins a village, finds out evil scientists are afoot, fights with them, rescues buds...sounds like a sequel is possible. Good stroy tho.
The story line is actually pretty good at first, I'm just not real big on most romance stories since they tend to be unrealistic, so I will not follow the series
I liked the heroine, she is a pretty tough character, not sure I will follow the series tho...the writer has a tendancy to mmmmm alot.
Post apoctolyptic story, young boy is the hero, finds a "modern" town to stay, unwittingly starts a battle between to surviving colonies.
Young boy finds out he is marked to fight demons, goes thru a rigorous training plan, the bad guy is a surprise in the end. Sequels are planned for this.
It is narrated by a scottish lady, but you get used to the accent pretty quick. Typical survivor story, with a picked on heroine, but she is tough and turns into a good leader. The ending was kind of abrupt, wondering if there are plans for a sequel.
