The authors did a mostly good job. I was disappointed though with their citing correlational studies as evidence of cause. Similarly, they use self-report, opinion studies to justify claims of a particular business practice's efficacy. Also distracting is the abundance of platitude.

All of this said, as a business manager myself, I highly recommend the book. In fact, I am encouraging my peers to also give the book a read. I say this because Kouzes and Pozner offer several pragmatic ideas and ways of conceptualizing the leadership role.

First off, I enjoyed Atlas Shrugged immensely. The plot and prose of this were not of that same caliber. The philosophy's application here seems to disprove the philosophy. It doesn't really fit. It's hard to swallow that one would work to fight every effort of the one she loves as the heroine does in this book. I guess it is a statement of "what if we didn't care to make babies with the best we could get" philosophy, but truly the reality of human mating instinct is the gaping wound in this one. Rand dances all over it by applying it to a romantic case such as this. Objectivism worked well in Atlas; in this book, not so much.

Funniest non-fiction I've ever read! This is a fantastic read. To those who criticized the "unnecessary" gruesomeness... it's about dead people!! Come on!! The author does a fine job respectfully making light of something people are way to squeamish about. I highly recommend this book. It was a fun read, and educational at the same time - just the sort for which I was looking.
