Sunshine State trivia buff Serge A. Storms loves eliminating jerks and pests. His drug-addled partner Coleman loves cartoons. Hot stripper Sharon Rhodes loves cocaine, especially when purchased with rich dead men's money. On the other hand, there's Sean and David, who love fishing and are kind to animals - and who are about to cross paths with a suitcase filled with $5 million in stolen insurance money. Serge wants the suitcase. Sharon wants the suitcase. Coleman wants more drugs... and the suitcase.

One of the best books I've listened to so far!

At first it can be a little confusing. The author introduces you to all these different characters. But by the end of the book, you see how they are all connected.

It's a book where the bad guys get what's coming to them.

The narration was excellent. Tim Dorsey has a new fan!

When Barry Fairweather dies unexpectedly in his early 40s, the little town of Pagford is left in shock. Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty façade is a town at war. Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils.... Pagford is not what it at first seems. And the empty seat left by Barry on the town's council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen.

When I first heard that JK was releasing an adult novel, I was so excited. I could not wait to read the angle of her novel. Would it be serious, would be it be comical, or a little of both? To my disappointment, I just can't get into the story. I think that JK's strength is in juvenile fiction. The novel is a snore unfortunately. I must say that I will be requesting my credit back for sure on this one.

You Slay Me is a lusty romance novel with amusing supernatural undercurrents. When courier Aisling Grey is dispatched to Paris to deliver a priceless dragon statue to a rich and eccentric female collector, she finds the intended recipient the apparent victim of a demonic ritual. And that's just the beginning of Aisling's discoveries.

I can't believe that I had this story for two months before I listened to it! Oh my! It is not only funny, but so sensual it will leave your mouth open envisioning your own hot dragon-man fantasy!

I enjoyed Barbara Rosenblat's narration of the book. She has an extensive vocal range that lets her differentiate each character. I cannot wait to start on Book 2.

Strange things are happening in Maya's tiny Vancouver Island town. First, her friend Serena, the captain of the swim team, drowns mysteriously in the middle of a calm lake. Then, one year later, mountain lions are spotted rather frequently around Maya's home and her reactions to them are somewhat . . . unexpected. Her best friend, Daniel, has also been experiencing unexplainable premonitions about certain people and situations.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Gathering to be better than the print version?

Although I have not read the print version of The Gathering, I am sure it is equally as wondering as the audio edition.

What did you like best about this story?

What I loved the most about the story was that it was so descriptive. You could envision in your mind how the characters felt.

What about Jennifer Ikeda’s performance did you like?

Jennifer Ikeda was excellent. I enjoyed listening to her smooth voice.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If I had time I would listen to this book in one sitting.
