Got through it finally
I felt like the story went no where I was always "wondering where's this going?"
More descriptive narration. When at the climax I still feel like he was reading the story as it was the beginning.
This is a after school special at best.
Burial Rites written by Hannah Kent is based on true events. The audio version is a long slow story. Campfires recommended.
I liked this book it was charming and witty. The second story background is just enough. The first story is positively brilliant. But it took a long time getting to the end and although it was interesting till the end it was predictable after you find out a certain " tidbit" of information. I felt the story was given away.
This book was outrageously funny. Smart and witty with true banter between friends. It was interesting enough to make me want to see where the book would go. I found the ending disappointing. It wasn't that it didn't tie up loose ends. Au contrair. It did just not the way I wanted it too. Would I recommend? you bet.
There are some books that just read this one unfolds. Helene Wecker weaves a great story with back grounds and deep characterizations. It was fascinating but very long. I found that I was pushing towards the end. This book wasn't long and boring. It was just long I wanted the characters to have a great climax but when I got there it fizzled. Not in a bad way it just wasn't a great as I expected. the narration was very good but not spectacular and i believe this drew away from "something" from the climax.
I'm always leery when trying new authors but i'm so glad I did with Jamie McGuire. It words flow smoothly the story is strong and realistic. I do hope their is a sequel to Red Hill. It isn't that the ending wasn't satisfying. It was. I'm just curious what happened to so many great characters.
Although this was a tough subject I found myself smiling in areas. It is a heartwarming book despite the subject (teens dying from cancer). The story was believable from a YA point of view. It flowed well and wasn't long and dragged out.I enjoyed it even though I was leery because of the subject.
I'm usually into this genre but I felt this book just never got started. I was always waiting for something more exciting to happen. I half heard this book and didn't really feel bad when I fell asleep and missed parts. Perhaps I'm not giving a fair review but I have no desire to try this one again.
This was ok but I found the jokes the same ol' same old as in the first book but it was entertaining none the least..
The characters in this book just didn't have the same chemistry as in the first book but it was a good read
I love Amanda Ronconi 's reading she brings the characters alive in a way that just simply reading the book could not.
I never really listen to books more than once but this series I would make an exception
I like Lerouge I find him and Lee Harper very human
I found I was sneaking away just to listen. Sitting in the parked car just a little longer to listen. This whole series was nothing short of spectacular!
I loved the excitement of this book! ups, downs, racing around, what will happen next? it was fabulous
Lee Harper is a character who is believable. He is very human.
The voice was spectacular. I found my heart racing in the area where he was excited.
One man, one mission, undefeatable odds
