this book is right up there with huckleberry finn.... one could easily make a case for it being twains' best book...you will love it
Hes very good
I am 3/4 through this book and still have not discovered a plot. No plot so the author has les beating people up , including Karate champions. Getting seduced by beautiful women. And letting his brothers dog kill and eat another dog. Oh and his brother eats a little also. I've read other les norton books and found them entertaining. But after this crap I won't be reading anymore. A refund is due me and any other person who bought this trash
I liked the anecdotes. I disliked the rediculous accounts of beatings where the victims take the beatings like a super hero.
Not a bad read. Can't really relate to a morally bankrupt criminal
Very high marks
I enjoyed the characters and facts about I nDian culture
Buy it you won't be disappointed
first book i've read that had music playing in the back round all the time...it was soooo disconcerting...i just could not get into this book from the start..so dissapointing..i should get my money back for this drivel.
save your money but more importantly your time...this narrator is the worst and i mean the worst...it takes the author almost the whole book to get things moving along...and when it starts it is most disapointing...pass on this one
can't give this book more than 3 stars....mainly i got tired of rizzo saying there is no right and there is no wrong. theres' only what is...rediculous mantra for a cop but all in all not a bad read
save your money! i bought this book based on all the 5 star ratings...i wish i could get my money back...listened for 3 1/2 hours and could not take it anymore....they should take this book down to quantanamo and translate for the prisoners there and make them read it...they would begin talking after 10 minutes...HORRIBLE.....
in this book you will meet a man that if i could measure up to just 10% of his character i would be happy...be prepared to find out with documentation just how shallow and incompetant sherman and grant were....not taking grant off a fifty dollar bill will be an injustice.
good book but the narrator speaks in such a monotone one finds onself constantly drifting off..if i see a book i want to read in the future and this guy is the narrator i will pass....
great book..good insight into prison life from a guards perspectice....i think he downplays the seemier and violent part of prison life....but all in all a great read....buy it you won't be dissappointed
