The four dead guards didn’t concern Mitch Rapp as much as the absence of the man they’d been paid to protect. Joe Rickman wasn’t just another foot soldier. For the last eight years Rickman had ran the CIA’s clandestine operations in Afghanistan. It was a murky job that involved working with virtually every disreputable figure in the Islamic Republic. More than a quarter billion dollars in cash had passed through Rickman’s hands during his tenure as the master of black ops and no one with a shred of sense wanted to know the details of how that money had been spent.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Last Man to be better than the print version?

Havent read the print version kinda of hard while driving.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mitch is, has and always will be my favorite. I missed my calling in life because I should have been a CIA assasin and not an engineer. I think like him and pretty much feel the same about authority. You have right and wrong and it is time to deal with the wrong no matter where they are.

    Which scene was your favorite?

    The vet fire fight.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I always get choked up when thinking about Mitch's wife Anna and their baby, although I would have killed Gould period.

    Any additional comments?

This series is my favorite right up there with Brad Thor's Scott Horvath. I would love to meet one of these guys in person someday to have a few beers and discuss how they came up with the characters.

  • Trident K9 Warriors: My Tale From the Training Ground to the Battlefield with Elite Navy SEAL Canines

As a SEAL on combat deployment in Iraq, Mike Ritland saw a military working dog in action and instantly knew he found his true calling. While the SEAL teams had used dogs in the past, they never had dogs trained specifically by SEALs, for SEALs. To fill this void, Ritland started his own company after he retired, training and supplying dogs for the West Coast SEAL teams. He knew that less than 1% of all working dogs had what it takes to contribute to the success of our nation’s elite combat units. He searched the globe for animals who fit this specific profile.

Would you consider the audio edition of Trident K9 Warriors to be better than the print version?

    Did not read the print

What was one of the most memorable moments of Trident K9 Warriors?

When the author discussed the feats of courage that dogs would perform with their handlers. Amazing animals just like the special forces and SEALS they work with.

Have you listened to any of Jeff Gurner’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    Nope

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

How the author felt about the dogs that were too tough for adoption by anybody other than him.

    Any additional comments?

If you love dogs and enjoy miltary stories then this is a good listen.
