    • UNABRIDGED (77 hrs and 9 mins)
    • By Thomas Nelson, Inc.
    • Narrated By uncredited

This faithful rendering of the New King James Version® presents the Bible in more than 90 hours of compelling, dramatic audio-theater format. This world-class audio production immerses listeners in the dramatic reality of the Scriptures as never before, with an original music score by composer Stefano Mainetti (Abba Pater), feature film-quality sound effects, and compelling narration by Michael York and the work of over 500 actors.

Richard says: "Poor Organization of Sections"
    "Very nicely dramatized!"

Excellent audio quality, very nicely dramatized! I love to listen to this audiobook at bedtime. I would even say it has a musical quality - very relaxing. I would, however, voice this complaint: the audiobooks do not list which books start where or the order.

    This is definitely worth purchasing!

    • Narrated By Jay Snyder
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

In your hands is the handwritten journal depicting one man's struggle for survival. Trapped in the midst of global disaster, he must make decisions; choices that ultimately mean life, or the eternal curse to walk as one of them. Enter, if you will, into the world of the undead.

rob haight says: "Great book! More more more!!"
    "This captured my attention!"
Would you consider the audio edition of Day By Day Armageddon to be better than the print version?

The narration was brilliant. I'd rather have this in audio format than print.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Day By Day Armageddon?

I was shocked they brought the dog. The story seemed more real to me because of it.

What does Jay Snyder bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He made me see the story unfold.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I love the insight of protagonist and the choices he had to make.

    Any additional comments?

I recommend this book to any zombie cultist.

  • Empress: Godspeaker, Book 1

    • UNABRIDGED (20 hrs and 21 mins)
    • By Karen Miller
    • Narrated By Josephine Bailey
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

In a family torn apart by poverty and violence, Hekat is no more than an unwanted mouth to feed, worth only a few coins from a passing slave trader. But Hekat was not born to be a slave. For her, a different path has been chosen. It is a path that will take her from stinking back alleys to the house of her God, from blood-drenched battlefields to the glittering palaces of Mijak. This is the story of Hekat, slave to no man.

David Oldfield says: "I can't help being contradictory"
    "Couldn't stop listen - exciting sci-fi"

Great fantasy/sci-fi book! Fully developed characters - I could distinguish each central character and found them all unique. Wonderful storyline and subplots - kept my attention; it was exciting and fresh (couldn't compare it to anything I read before). Wonderful reader - great dramatization by reader!

I recommend this book if you love strong female characters and science-fiction/fantasy.

  • The Essential Kabbalah

    • ABRIDGED (3 hrs)
    • Narrated By Edward Asner

    M. R. Leavitt says: "Not for the newbie but great if you know a little"
"Very nice foundational study of Kabbalah"

This book really delves into the writings, symbols and mythology of Kabbalah. This book references much of the writings in the Sephir Yetzerah and other writings like the Bashir. You should have these books also in your library for reference.

This book is written about the 'heart' or 'spirit' of Kabbalistic writings/religion. If you are interested in Kabbalah or you have some of the books like Sephir Yetzirah or Basir or something -- you should obtain this book to help you understand more of the writings, the tenants and the foundations of this branch of Judaism.

  • The Modern Scholar: The Dead Sea Scrolls: The Truth behind the Mystique

    • UNABRIDGED (7 hrs and 58 mins)
    • By Lawrence H. Schiffman

In this course, Professor Lawrence H. Schiffman imparts a clear understanding of what the Dead Sea Scrolls are, and even more importantly, what they are not. Indeed, everything about the Scrolls, from their long road to full publication to the haggling over dating and translation, has been shrouded in controversy. In these lectures, Professor Schiffman gives a fascinating explanation of the content of the Scrolls and the times in which the Scrolls were kept.

Jacobus says: "A well-balanced account of the Qumran Scrolls"
    "I didn't enjoy this audiobook"

I thought I would get a reading or a review of the writings from the scrolls themselves. I didn't know I was buying a 'lecture' - very disappointed with the marketing of this audiobook. It's not what I wanted.

The professor is very knowledgeable - I would enroll in his course. However, I wanted more of the writings.
