"I believe there is another man inside every man, a stranger...." writes Wilfred Leland James in the early pages of the riveting confession that makes up "1922", the first in this pitch-black quartet of mesmerizing tales from Stephen King. For James, that stranger is awakened when his wife, Arlette, proposes selling off the family homestead and moving to Omaha, setting in motion a gruesome train of murder and madness.

A few times I was actually scared out of my pants!!!!! I love King and he does his readers well. I would suggest to anyone who is a fan of his.

Kim Miller is an immaculately put-together woman with a great career, a loving boyfriend, and a tidy apartment on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. You would never guess that Kim grew up behind the closed doors of her family’s idyllic Long Island house, navigating between teetering stacks of aging newspapers, broken computers, and boxes upon boxes of unused junk festering in every room - the product of her father’s painful and unending struggle with hoarding. In this moving coming-of-age story, Kim brings to life her rat-infested home and her childhood consumed by concealing her father’s shameful secret from friends.

Would you listen to Coming Clean again? Why?

No because I usually only listen once

What was one of the most memorable moments of Coming Clean?

It was a pure look into a deep dark shame that she carried for so long. The honesty and truth in this book was something that touched me like a book not has in a while

    Any additional comments?

It is so easy to sit in judgment of others as it is with severe hoarders. This intimate look into a hoarders life and family allowed me to see past the decay and see the love, hope, and dreams. Allowed me to see them as people. What a gift.

In late 2003, in his column in Entertainment Weekly, Stephen King called The Memory of Running "the best novel you won't read this year." This glowing endorsement of the audiobook resulted in Ron McLarty receiving a $2 million two-book deal from Viking Penguin. Also, Warner Brothers has shelled out big bucks for the movie rights to The Memory of Running, for which McLarty will write the script.

I loved this read. The way you can smell what the author is describing. And the way Smithy looks at life and how he responds. Pure and true. He is one of those people that is smart but is so simple that they act dumb. Great and I would suggest to anyone!!!!

Tom Wolfe's best-selling modern classic tells the story of Sherman McCoy, an elite Wall Street bond trader who has it all: wealth, power, prestige, a Park Avenue apartment, a beautiful wife, and an even more beautiful mistress - until one wrong turn sends Sherman spiraling downward into a humiliating fall from grace. A car accident in the Bronx involving Sherman, his girlfriend, and two young lower-class black men sets a match to the incendiary racial and social tensions of 1980s New York City.

At first I was wondering what all the good reviews were all about but as I got caught up in the tale and how it took the character down a road of no return I was facinated. Makes you think about what guilty and not guilty really are.
