It was a powerful tale that perhaps does not end happily it ends as it should. Heart renching and beautiful.
I loved this read. The way you can smell what the author is describing. And the way Smithy looks at life and how he responds. Pure and true. He is one of those people that is smart but is so simple that they act dumb. Great and I would suggest to anyone!!!!
What a great book. It left me with a very nice feeling knowing we are all on our walk and have yet to meet all the people we are to meet. I cannot wait to read the next book.
I loved this book. It made me laugh and cry. It had a wonderful way of letting you see how a dog thinks. If you love dogs than you will enjoy this book.
I found this book to be enjoyable and a change from some of the intense listening I do. The only negative was that it was a bit too long.
I enjoyed this book having not known much about this tragedy. It was well done and kept me interested as the author took you step by step as the killers lived and died.
At first I was wondering what all the good reviews were all about but as I got caught up in the tale and how it took the character down a road of no return I was facinated. Makes you think about what guilty and not guilty really are.
The story keeps you going and you get to know PI very intimately. His courage and sense of truth and what is right comes from a pure heart. The ending caught me by surprise but after discussing it with someone I understood PI's rationale for it.
Hard to finish and easy plot to guess. The story line went on too long
You meet the main characters and at first wonder if you will like them. Owens voice is hard to get used to. Then his personality and charm gets thru even the sound of his voice and you fall in love with him. It is a long listen but that is what I like with an hour commute both ways daily. Very enjoyable.
