I really enjoyed North and South but this was too slow. All the characters had been developed in book 1 and there wasn't enough depth in the story to keep me interested. Either shorten the story or add depthj.
I might try ------ with a different series.
I just finished reading Ken Follet's Winter of the World and this was another interesting angle on the same subject.
Ken Follet - Dangerous Fortune.
Yes - I like Jodi's work although I find I need to take a break between novels.
None. All Characters were necessary - but I did feel the performer doing the Grandmother was right. She is very good but just didn't make me think of the grandmother - perhaps to young to be the grandmother.
Loved the book. Felt sad to be finished!
In the top ten
It was an unbelievable but plausible story. Kept you guessing and listening
Very abstractly presented. Very unrealistic plot. Maybe it got better but I quit after first 4 hours.
Completely absorbed in the story. Felt like I had lost a friend when I finished. Learned a lot about INdian culture. A little long winded in some parts but wonderful story. I loved all the characters. Have listed to this narrator many times and love his work. He does really well with all of Bryce courtney's work as well.
Predictable after first few chapters. Approach and story line very similar to Divinci Code and Angels and Demons.
Excellent book. Well worth the read. Hard to imagine people really lived like this in North America.
The story is very intriguing and the language used was fascinating. I hoped to find other audible books by this author - but sadly there were none.
